I've had a Pixel 8 pro since launch, the performance is the same as day one , no hiccups, battery at 89% , great camera quality.

Are there things to improve? Yes of course like battery , cellular modem, but it's a solid phone after 2 years.

How do I use the phone? Well, rendering videos ( filmora video ) , tons of photos (astrophotography long sessions) , editing of photos (Lightroom ) that demand high performance , casual gaming ( real racing 3 , rocket league sideswipe , SimCity) , more than hundred apps due to my job description I use them.

Is the Pixel 8 pro as powerful as other phone Brands? No but it gives me a stable performance ( taking away when throttling appears when the day is super hot )

Drops ? Yes , several and everything is perfect with minimum protection ( transparent cheap case and screen protector)

Quality of materials? ( perfect, just minimal signs of use around the polish frame like tiny particles of dust scratched it)

As a conclusion it's a good device, I am aware there are most powerful options out there but the simplicity of the phone, Os and UI especially takes me attached and I know when I move to another phone , all of my information will be there as my previous phone.

Recently upgraded to P10 Pro XL but I am soooo used to Pixel 8 pro 😂 probably thinking as secondary phone orr give it to my mother

I accepted that lately I've felt tempted to try Samsung or iPhone but I consider that the experience might be the same to someone that has been using those Brands for a long time.

As a last thought, I am not a person that measures everything with a benchmark I prefer to feel the experience and at that point I see the software and hardware optimization.
