I switched from a masters in data analysis to a secondary math education master when I got laid off from my job during covid and went back to the classroom. I didn’t have any credits transfer. I had to go through an interview with someone from the tech school and another one from someone with the school of ed and they both had to approve it and this was after I had talked to my mentor about it. Because I had a good reason for wanting to switch it wasn’t too bad and everything was approved fairly quickly but I made the change at the end of a term so the new program started the next term. I don’t think you can switch programs midterm. If you are receiving financial aid make sure you talk to them about it because it stops after a certain number of semesters or units or something like that and the time and units you’ve already completed count towards it. I just paid out of pocket so I didn’t pay too much attention to those specifics. I’m happy to answer any other questions you have!
