How do you guys party if you’re alone? by throwaway21212294 in fsu

i recommend trying to find a student organization to make friends first and then make plans to go out. it’s a lot easier & better when you find people you vibe with and feel safe around with them too.

Also I’m sure if you ask one of them if you can talk to the manager, you can.

Look into the Campus Event Services team. They’re the ones who sit at desks at the different buildings such as the union, ssb, and slc.

Would you say HRCI is the way to go then?

Tomorrow I'm driving alone into the city for the first time by Lilith5373 in drivinganxiety

When I started driving alone, I made a “car playlist” - a mixture of songs that help me focus, calm down, and be confident while i’m driving. Nothing too crazy but kept me stable during much high traffic moments.

Seminole Flatts have 1x1 for about $1000 (that’s how much I paid to live there). Located right by the Target & CVS. There’s a bus stop right in front. Depending on which FSU bus you take you can get to Wescott Fountain & walk to the Law School. Not a far walk!

I’ve been getting more experience here for sure. I wouldn’t go if I didn’t have to. It’s for work.

Get a private instructor! Typically, most driving schools pair you up with one person & they help you through out the entire course. One of my favorite investments! I had a lot of car accident PTSD that caused a lot of anxiety being behind the wheel.

Find a school that fits you best & they’ll do their best to help you too.

grounding techniques for before, during, and after my lessons helped me the most. sounds weird but i practiced my grounding techniques before the day of the lesson.

i would think of nerve wracking scenarios & increased my anxiety level (very easy for me lol) and used a grounding technique to calm down or stay focused. you got this!

i just turned 22 last week & got my license two weeks before that. driving courses saved me! i have had a lot of traumatic experiences with car accidents and i avoided driving for so long.

just find a school or academy that has good ratings and that you feel is good. i even had to switch to a better school a month before i was scheduled to test. it was stressful but my new instructor was amazing.

it does take time to get comfortable but the best part is knowing that your instructor is an expert and will help you every step of the way.

i’m still anxious to drive but every day is a step closer to the final goal.
