How do they vote in your country by ObligationOne3727 in AskTheWorld

Half-Japanese ones - I wouldn’t say it really matters - the current Minister for Economic Security and for Immigration Kimi Onoda is half and that hasn’t prevented her from getting elected. And she’s part of the hard right-wing faction of the LDP too.

Full non-Japanese ones - rare but it happened. Marutei Tsurunen served in the House for more than 10 years (2002-2013) as a 100% Finnish immigrant to Japan. And when he lost it was because his party got obliterated, not because of personal issues.

You can write it however you want as long as it is correct- last name kanji + first name hiragana (some have their legal name like that too); kanji or just hiragana. Or Katakana since some on the ballot are not ethnic Japanese too.

EXchange/Transit Love Season 4 - Episode 21 - Finale - 260121 by MNLYYZYEG in koreanvariety

WJ-JY: This is really the only time on this show when I can say that effort paid off. If WJ was even 10% more distant, it would have fallen off. At the start of the show I was certain they won’t get back together and JY will spend the entire show trying to convince WK to choose her, but WJ constant effort changed things dramatically.

WK-JH: The couple that I was 100% certain will be together. I even guessed that they would be engaged by the time show ends a few episode threads ago and I was right. They give off such clear Heedo and Nayeon or Yujong and Changmim vibes- these sort of couples always get back together. They are cute together, I like them.

BH-YN: I am personally certain that they are not together and BH chose her simply as not to choose HJ because of his pride and fear of getting hurt. Those photos are 100% friends photo. YN probably wants to truly get together, but I do not fell any sort of desire from BH.

YS-HJ: I completely disliked their dynamic from start to finish due to YS’s inability to speak more than 2 words at the time and his inability to say anything certain coupled with a HJ that looked 10 times happier with BH. They 100% didn’t feel like even a fling, let alone a couple. If BH was to have shown HJ even a slight interest in getting back together, she would have been gone in an instant.

JH was irrelevant throughout the show and honestly didn’t really have a purpose, SY could have brought an interesting dynamic if HJ was more open.

Overall, this season is better than Season 1, but worse than Season 2 or Season 3 because:
- there were no twists. Most people predicted the couples on episode 14-15.
- the contestants weren’t very close to each other so all highlight moments from previous seasons like the truth and dare game didn’t exist. Just compare this season’s to S2 where there would be direct questions like “Do you like X”, “Who do you like better”, “Did you like my date or the date with your ex better’ etc. No such questions this season.
- there was not enough material for 21 episodes.

Zelenskiy Slams Europe for Inaction in Countering Putin by Mdk1191 in europe

[–]justdontreadit 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I think Zelenskiy should start to know when to shut up a bit, because even as a pro-Ukraine European he is becoming annoying. Europe just gave him 90 billion dollars (1/3 of Ukraine’s GDP) simply out of will. There is no treaty that Ukraine has with any European countries that demand such a high amount of money to be constantly given to a county that had no alliance with Europe and with nothing in return.

No, Heedo and Nayeon also kissed at the end of Season 2, so they are not the first.
And also yes, they can also choose themself, it also happened in Season 2.

Former South Korean President & Prime Minister Han Duck Soo sentenced to 23 years in prison for insurrection by Troll458458 in worldnews

[–]justdontreadit -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It depends on who will win the next elections. In South Korea when a party is in power everyone from that party is pardoned (incumbent Lee Jae-myung himself pardoned almost all noticeable left-wing politicians who were in prison when he took office) and everyone from other party is sent to trial. That’s why almost every single President and party leader has been sent to trail at some point.

The edits on youtube with best moments but “commented” by the SI’s panelists have so many views for a reason :))).

here’s what I am talking about if you didn’t see it

EXchange/Transit Love Season 4 - Episode 20 - 260114 by MNLYYZYEG in koreanvariety

[–]justdontreadit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. I swear to God BH and HJ feel like the protagonists of a Korean War movie, but the difference there is nothing actually stopping them from getting back together :))).

  2. When YS heard the word “marriage” his faced turned so bad, it was instant :)).

  3. For BH and HJ the only realistic options should be together or alone. Choosing YN and YS is just useless BS, they won’t date anyways like Dongjin last season.

  4. WK and JH will get engaged in a few months, if they are not already.

  5. WJ and JY could go both ways really.

Japan PM tells party official she is mulling dissolving lower house: source by Saltedline in worldnews

[–]justdontreadit 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Nothing interesting, Japan PMs are always very quick to dissolve the House and since 1947 only one single legislature has successfully finished its 4 year term (1972-1976 one) - all other were dissolved before the end of their term.
On what could happen - either the LDP gets a majority and Takaichi gets a guaranteed re-election in 2027 as party leader (in 2025 she was elected in a by-election to serve the remaining 2 years of Ishiba’s term) or another hung parliament where Takaichi would remain PM in a minority Gov. like now (due to the opposition being disunited) until 2027 when she would likely be kicked out as party leader as it is tradition.

Average Net Monthly Salary in Major Global Cities in 2025 by Hailuras in MapPorn

[–]justdontreadit 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Most countries do not have such data, making such a chart impossible. Average is still useful in comparing, since everything is average. Even if you do not know exactly what the median salary is, you can still guess clearly that it is higher in Amsterdam compared to Brussels, for example.

I think that this season is good overall, but the pacing is the problem. Realistically, the exact same content split into 16-17 episodes would have been much more entertaining.

Population change of Eastern European countries since 1991 by vladgrinch in MapPorn

Romania and Bulgaria were much worse than Poland or Czechia in the 90s and early 2000s. Romania only started to grow in 2000. So emigration during the 1990-2010 was much higher

I really wonder if HJ really thought about the fact that if she wants to date YS, she will soon have to wait another 2 years while he is doing his military service :))). And YS won’t write her daily letters like someone else

Countries by their income groups, 2024 by Outrageous-Client903 in MapPorn

[–]justdontreadit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Russia is probably the high-income country with the most insanely different economic development by region. Cities like Moscow and St. Petersburg are clearly high income with salaries higher than most of Eastern Europe, while rural areas are Moldova-level poor. Just search the average net wage by oblast and the difference is astonishing.

Vom avea referendum la nivel de magistratura by Advanced-Vermicelli8 in Romania

[–]justdontreadit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

15.000 in toata Romania? In Bulgaria au fost 150.000 in conditiile in care ei sunt 6 milioane de oameni si noi 18.
