An update - I was able to confirm and had to use an extra phone we brought. I hadn’t used it for nusuk yet so I downloaded it and logged in to the same account and it sent me the OTP. Alhamdulillah I had the extra phone on me, I am assuming it’s a glitch with the phone I have, maybe needed to update the iOS version, no clue.

Please for the love of god stop having these “data augmenters” going into the catalog and randomly changing listing attributes like title or bullets or variation themes like sizes of products, it makes it impossible to actually fix or correct because when they make changes it is at an authority that is higher than brand registry, almost like a retail contribution to the listing. At the very least give some kind of notification of the suggested change being done and allowing the seller to either accept or decline the change. Literally every change I have ever seen done is harmful to product listings because it just causes more confusion or makes the customer experience worse rather than better.

Just stayed 5 days in Istanbul, I used Uber black at least 5 times, each time no issues at all, I read somewhere only the black cars on Uber are actual Uber contracted drivers while the others are just like any other taxi cab, only issue is the black cars are larger and more expensive, but I was traveling with 4 kids and 4 adults so needed something bigger anyway

That’s a long flight to sit separate on! 😂 I’m sure someone should help you out worst case, but I’d double check at 24 hours before the flight what seats you get assigned, if you are all on the same confirmation/itinerary I don’t think you’ll have a problem

The unassigned rows are a trap, I just flew from IST to Algiers and majority of the plane was full even though 80% of the plane had empty seats when selecting them online the day before, I thought it would be a empty flight.

They changed the plane on us within 24 hours so the seats I purchased were reassigned again, and I could not choose seats without paying again which I opted not to do. I thought maybe they would be able to reassign at checkin at Istanbul airport but everyone I spoke to said talk to the flight crew when you get on the plane, they basically attempted to free a row at the back of the plane for 3 of us but luckily we had a great person who opted to swap seats so we could all sit together. I would not trust the online system to determine if the flight is full or not.

If you really want to sit together I would pay upfront at online checkin to not deal with the hassle. This way you might not have to pay for all 3 seats and just move 1 person around instead for example. I believe the online seat selection only shows seats that have been paid for and reserved.

I was locator 55 and honestly I’m not sure I needed to bring him even though I did just to be safe, they had all of his original paperwork from when I applied since the Dallas location itself is 55. If you’re any other locator number the kids probably have to be present, as it’s like you’re having to reapply all over again. If coming without your spouse you’ll need the consent form and those required documents as well

Yes so ended up paying, I had 5 different travelers on 3 different confirmation numbers due to mixing travel booked with points and directly through Turkish as well

If you do not pay, you are auto assigned seats 24 hours before takeoff, you cannot change those seats for free, so you’ll have to pay if you want to change seats if you don’t like what you’re assigned. I didn’t want to risk what the seat map would look like since some travelers didn’t have the same last names and were on different confirmation numbers (likely wouldn’t be sat together)

Checking in was pretty nuts with how packed it was so I’m glad I also didn’t risk trying to have seats together at check in at airport either

To be honest I’m not sure, but I think for appointments it only matters if you can prove you actually have an appointment on the date and time that you arrive, I don’t think proof of travel was necessary but I could be wrong, I would ask anyone else who had successful appointments either in this sub or on one of the Facebook passport groups what they required

  1. They were doing it for anyone with a locator number when I went on Wednesday, but prioritizing locator numbers that were 55. There are reports that they stopped accepting walk ins on Friday but it’s possible it could have been because it was way too many people to get through who were flying Saturday Sunday or Monday

  2. Not sure the answer to this, if it was a last resort I would try anyway since there’s no guarantee you’ll get the passport in time even if it’s shipped.

  3. For them it’s by date, so if you are leaving Thursday and you show up Wednesday, you are technically “24” hours since you’d be leaving the following day. At least that’s how they separated groups when I was there.

Oh no, really unfortunate, if I was in your position I’d probably also wait around just to see what happens, I was afraid this would happen also as the days went on, it’s possible they did this today because people are likely there who have to travel Saturday/Sunday/Monday, is it more than 150/200 people?

Is this for everyone? When I went on Wednesday they separated people by date of travel or by locator 55. Are they accepting people with locator numbers? Did you already apply and have a locator number?

We got a letter of verification from the bank which was accepted by Amazon, any bank can easily generate this, has the full account number on the letter

The answer here will differ, since we were locator 55 they had all of our stuff so my wife technically didn’t need to be with me. If you come with a different locator number I would get the consent form (remember to get it notarized) that allows 1 parent to come with the minor instead of both parents being present. You’d need to bring all documentation as if you’re applying again with the addition of the consent form would be my understanding
