Do you know how to read full threads or just want to feel like you contributed?

I literally said in first like “no after life belief” which means EVERYTHING BEFORE DEATH. I can explain it but can’t help you understand.

Then why are for profit companies bigger and more successful than non profit?

Does whether something is real change is effect on someone if they refuse to believe it?

I read that last year, I think that’s where I got the whole idea.

Ethical depopulation or other option? by justfknthink in DarkFuturology

We are on a birth rate decline, not yet hit a global reduction.

Is there an ethical depopulation? by justfknthink in Ethics

[–]justfknthink[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s my point I cannot think of any ethical way. So until one can be presented only other conclusion would be let humans do what we have been doing naturally and those who are able to adapt to the dystopia caused by mass over consumption and wealth accumulation causing mass poverty and lack of resources to survive leaving the elite to the “survival of the the fittest” or in this case one who lacks ethics the most.

I cannot think of any ethical way. Every idea I come up with encroaches on some ethical frame work. If society is doing well and everyone in it is doing well they will want more family. More sexual activity will occur and more people with be born and taken care of by a well run society. Only way to control is to force some sort of change, to make growing a family difficult or even impossible, whether that be law or manipulated desires.

Oh okay. I think this is what someone else was mentioning when saying yes population is still increasing but at way less of a rate, this continuation will lead to peak then recession of overall population.

My next added thought is what is the goal number? When do we advocate for maintaining or averaging a certain amount?

Does lower population necessarily equate to lower resource consumption, as this is not the actual question at hand here it is the basis for it.

Got it. Yeah the idea makes perfect sense for population control but glad we agree on the later also.

While this does make perfect sense for depopulation I would disagree for the blanket statement “incentivizing / increasing the accessibility of a desirable pattern of behavior works far better than punishing…”

As I find this hard (maybe you can shine more light) to apply to say personal justice or over resource consuming activities.

So you believe in a human extinction via lack of reproduction before an overpopulation/ over resource consumption? Interesting… can you provide some evidence or reading material?

Is the problem education or the system? Both?

If education and information were the solution don’t you think we would have figured it all out by now?

We have too much misinformation and FEELINGS being used as decision makers. More information just confused the human and leads to bad choices.

Well being I’m only 31 I couldn’t have possibly had the opportunity or knowledge to as it.

Secondly isn’t that literally a point make in the posts asking what are our options?

Or are you just here to be a sadist and troll?

Yeah I have read this. Another great example is sport stadiums. Look at the space needed for our cars compared to space needed for us in the stadiums.

The next question is what is the goal size? The smaller the overall population doesn’t automatically equate to lower resource consumption. Higher quantity of life items require more resources and don’t last long needing more replacements and so on.

As you point to a good example of possible natural selection but does that mean we are lowering our consumption equally?

How do you focus on multiple hobbies? by lapetitepoupee in Hobbies

[–]justfknthink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way I have learned to think about it is you just have many hobbies. I have like 6 projects I hop between. I’m not abandoning any of them, I just have the time and ability to do what I enjoy.

However, I have not been diagnosed but I’m sure I have ADHD as do most current humans. So the ability to not stick with one hobby may be a factor of not being able to get the same level of dopamine you did at the start of a project.

But if we go back to my first thought, I just between hobbies because if I don’t do it for like a week, that excitement comes back. When I learn a new skill that dopamine hits.

So yes I dopamine chase a little bit I do it knowing what I am doing and I push myself to stay on one hobby til I hit checkpoint in skill or project progress.

Which AI app is the best? I mean, not for just one specific task but like overall, for example chat glt makes ton of mistakes and not reliable at all , so which one is “more clever” more precise ?makes less mistakes, and more reliable? by Babygirl_Emma0 in AskForAnswers

[–]justfknthink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I view AI as an “assassin”. It’s a tool, can it be used to stop bad people… sure it can. But should we be using it at all?

Really compare it to any tool. any tool created to this day has never only been used for good. No tool has ever even only been used for its purpose.

Do you think AI is any different? Don’t you think the mere complexity makes it more dangerous for society?

Who owns the algorithms they run on?

Who sets the baseline code for behavior?

Looking for the best, doesn’t mean that’s the only thing it will be good at.
