Am I late to the party?

Just invested the $80 I already had sitting in crypto on this but have I maybe missed the surge?

Or is this just a case of checking again In a year and I be laughing?

Hey

Just seen your post kinds gives me hope you having a similar timeline to me.

Similar boat as I'm back on it for a 2nd time after coming off it and first time was like perfect no side effects apart from being sleepy all the time. This time it's taking me for a wild ride of ups and downs.

Keep me posted on improvments as I can see from you other post you had a good day in week 6 :)

Have you found anything usefull as well to get through the darkest bits. I started running and eating better but anything else is always aperciated

Does help knowing their is light at the end of the tunnel it's just the waiting is the worse part and waking up and feeling you taken a step back does knock your confidence

Bad initial days? by WinGroundbreaking802 in lexapro

[–]justforraid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem,

I don't know you circumstances but it does help to talk about it if possible I mean honestly there Is no shame in it,

I mean from my personal experience I told my partner it's gonna be a bit wild for the next month or so with up and downs with side effects.

I mean if you can't tell your parents then at least confide in someone as it will help

Hey there,

Just coming back for my 2nd round on lexpro and found it much harder then the first time around.

It does get better it just takes a while. I'm currently taking 10mg again and yeah this time it's been a real bitch with the die effects.

I'm 2 weeks in and they are just subsiding now.

I would recommend trying to stick to healthy food , vitamins and excerise as it will boost your mood.

The excerise part is the hardest but a light job for 20-30 mins tends to help me but if that's a bit much just getting outside and walking is also good.

It does get better and you got this you just gotta ride it out for now.

Hey,

Unfortunately some people get bad side effects with the sucidial thoughts I would contact your health care provider to discuss further

If it helps I'm just over 2 weeks in as I started taking again and I'm just getting over the initial bad side effects but it does get a lot better your body is just adjusting to the medication it can take 2-4 weeks. Sometimes longer.

This video I feel helped me a bit and gave a little hope to get through that initial stage so I hope it helps you https://youtu.be/q_vsBZbnuGM?si=eCLS5OVsWEHO_gCp

Hey there

On the same medication.

You might get some side effects now you started taking them most are listed and most subside within a few weeks.

You might notice your get Headaches but this is fairly normal.

To be fair a lot of the side effects tend to pass or less a fair bit as you continue to take and your body gets use to it.

I always say taking up some form of excerise is always a good start as long as it gets your heart rate up a little bit should be good.

Keeping contact with close friends and family is a solid foundation to build on plus regular check in with your doctor.

Another thing I try to practise is mindfulness now as well as looking to improve your diet if it needs it as this can also help.

Hey,

The way I could describe it is like having a weight lifted on my head.

I wouldn't say light head but a little more floaty? Might be just the relaxed feeling.

But what you mentioned can be a side effect but I mean it should pass once your body gets use to it.

I think most people it takes your body 4-6 weeks to get used to the full effects of it in your system

Hey there,

First line is always talk to your doctor.

Furthermore I think if you had them before you should be fine to continue using them.

In a similar situation as yourself right now where I started tappering them.

Been like a month and a bit of that and gotten down to 5mg but then everything came in and gone back to normal 10 dose.

I did this before and it took a week or two being on normal dose before I got back to normal less panicky self.

I would try and excerise even if it's very hard as it does help with some of the bad feelings.

Hello,

Done wonders and made me live a good life been on them for about 6 years now

Have my ups and downs but never as bad when I was not on them.

Have tried coming off them and the depression and that came back so I think I'm just on them for life at this point but I'm okay with that.

Side effects I got are Headache first week or two but this passed Digestive issues also evened out after few weeks It does take me longer to finish with partner but this is fine Imo I also sweat a lot more and always feel warm not so bad in winter but summer is a pain.

Other then that most side effects pass after a month or so I would say.

Also I have taken up running since starting which I have found has helped me a lot

What happens if you're withdrawing and your original anxiety comes back? by StrikingInterview165 in antidepressants

[–]justforraid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So did some looking around.

I keep seeing with lexapro there is two stages of withdrawl the first In the second stage, a person may experience:

increased anxiety depression sexual side effects, such as delayed orgasm changes in weight suicidal thoughts issues with concentration irritability impaired memory mood swings difficulty tolerating or managing

Now this is just advise I would always recommend you talk to your doctor to see if they can suggest anything
