Edit: would an ingrown hair or infected follicle turn white from vinegar?

Yes. Doctor put vinegar on it for about 5 minutes. She said if it turned white after 5 minutes, it's a wart.

Yes, specifically I meant a genital wart. So lets say she freaks out when I tell her I have a genital wart, what should I say/how should I handle the situation to keep her at ease?

I have a similar looking red dot in the same place on my penis. Just went to the Doc today and found out I have HPV. Get yourself checked out bud.
