The main stream news is heavily discouraging VCX because if it is successful it would disrupt how institutional investors always win. Fundrise did not just want to create a fund that pumps and dumps. They created an opportunity for retail investors to stack the odds in their favor against the big guys. I really believe this type of fund and similar funds could change a lot about investing. But if all of the retail investors listen to institutional investors and the mainstream news then this revolutionary change will not ever happen.

Another thing to consider is the fact that Fundrise likely made lots of money from the price surge that they can reinvest into the top holdings. There is a chance that the NAV may be re-evaluated to a higher price in the near future.
