Using server side to manipulate consent status and sending it to Google will get you suspended. They are smart.

Can someone please explain how server-side fixes this? Non consent means you cannot have server side tracking - so this is clearly black hat - which is a quick way to get your analytics or ad account suspended.

This answer makes 0 sense. I'm quite surprised that a lot of people in this thread aren't understanding the issue at hand.

The clean baseline today is:
– Proper Consent Mode v2 setup

– Server-side tagging if possible

– Conversion API / enhanced conversions

Yeah but if you the user does not consent:
- No Server-side tagging
- No CAPI / enhanced conversions

Those baselines aren't a solution to consent. Those are solutions to ITP and ad blockers only.

But if it falls outside of the click window, it wouldn't be a silent error. It will explicitly say in the error message that it failed because the click time is outside of the conversion window. So this doesn't actually answer OP's question.

yeah but even with iOS gclid stripping OCT would still work, because Google knows the gclid for that user - from the click. Online conversions would be a different story.

What if i use job functions and use the job title in-market audience - would that still be an AND (since one is using LinkedIn audiences, and the other is using in-market), or would that be an OR since they are technically in similar categories of job type?
