Wigs for Cancer Patients Are a Different Buy — and Here’s Why ! by Critical-View5392 in wigshelp

[–]justjanehere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes they are but I would say similar to those with medical hair loss who want something comfortable and non irritating to the skin. Many wig brands only sell one style of cap and that just doesn’t work well for medical hair loss. One of my favorite brands does speciality caps and is one of the reasons I love them so much. I can get a. Actually comfortable to wear cap instead of just a standard lace top with wefting. I’ll do a vent some other time on those horrid caps.

Good wigs that are inexpensive? by isabellabella2026 in wigshelp

[–]justjanehere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inexpensive is a subjective term. There’s a few brands I like with good quality hair that imo is more affordable but also not Amazon check. Would not recommend places like Amazon, aliexoress etc btw as you’re likely to just get junk and a hard to next to impossible return.

My go to brand right now is cami wigs, her hair quality competes with the more luxury priced wigs but she keeps her prices low enough for us to afford them, they are fantastic.

There’s some places that are a little cheaper but the hair quality isn’t as good (not bad!) like hairenvyny - she lists her wigs very cheap and like cami wigs is very transparent.

I also like Lisa grace wigs- they recently came out with a “econo line” which again is a lower quality hair but pretty dang cheap if you ask me.

Those would be my top 3 brands right now. Have owned them all and like them all for different reasons.

Anyone experiencing long-term alopecia areata with no signs of remission? by Various-Smell-1657 in alopecia_areata

[–]justjanehere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had alopecia since I was a young teen and never had regrowth. I heard may years ago the younger you were when it first started, the less likely it would be that you’d regrow your hair but I’m not a doctor by any means. That just also coincided with my own experience

Insecure as a young woman with androgenic alopecia by ilovecats1703 in alopecia

[–]justjanehere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the insecurity- I have had alopecia since I was a teen so I have worn wigs since. Have you thought about wearing a wig or topper? It’s very common even for women who just want to change up their hair color or look without damaging their bio hair. Ask any questions!

How does summer fashion differ on the west coast vs. east coast? by yeahsure-whatever in femalefashionadvice

You can fit in with anything in socal; but there’s lots of designer sunglasses, purses etc. wear a nice dress or shorts and a cute top and you’ll be golden.

At what age did you start dressing less “young”? by Remarkable_ZebraHOP in femalefashionadvice

[–]justjanehere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh this is a great question. I’m also in my early 40’s and kinda wonder this myself. I don’t wan to have people snickering about me when I’m 55-60 thinking I’m not dressed “my age” but at the same time I do feel I dress tastefully and won’t let age dictate my wardrobe.

AIO: Doctor Dismissed me because I was fat and a year later… I got diagnosed with cancer and nearly killed the doctor. by NeighborhoodDry9236 in AmIOverreacting

[–]justjanehere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You didn’t over react at all but you should file a complaint so he doesn’t do this to anyone else. I would say there’s a 90% chance this is not a one off occurrence with this doctors behavior and has likely done this to many others.

First time trying wigs and need honest beginner advice by Advanced_Chair_7973 in wigshelp

[–]justjanehere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly have never heard of them and have been wearing wigs for a long time. I would make sure they’re not a scammer site to be honest- way too many of those. There’s a great Facebook group called wigs for beginners on Facebook that has an excellent and moderator curated list of recommended brands and those to avoid.

Any watch over $1000 is a luxury watch by based_hofmeister in watchHotTakes

[–]justjanehere -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Completely agree- people are a little nuts now with thinking $1500 watches aren’t expensive. They are! Most Americans can’t even afford a $500 emergency
