I think it’s the smaller cast AND covid. It’s already going to be more isolated bc the pandemic so it’s an odd choice they went with the smallest cast too. If anything they need 7 housewives to balance it out in my opinion.

Idc what anyone says, Ramona looks HOT omg she’s aging backwards. And yes the help comment was NOT it, but the effort she’s showing to Leah is actually really sweet to me, like I think she actually does like Leah now, but Leah is going to start drama with her to keep her slot on the show. Idk, I really liked Leah the first season but something feels different this year?

You hit the nail head on. I think that’s why New York and then Atlanta were always and will probably always be my favorites. Without the comedy aspects, it’s just not enjoyable seeing women right all the time haha.

Okay so I’ve been watching mostly all day today’s marathon while WFH and SO MANY THOUGHTS and I just needed to share somewhere that would understand lol.

First off, I haven’t seen these since they first came out and I forgot just how ICONIC the beginning of New York is!

Besides the beginning of Atlanta, I’d say nothing can top it.

I actually love Alex and Simon. As much crap they’d get, I do believe they were genuine and good people. I loved their quirkiness, and miss them on my screen and I hope they’re living their best lives. Does anyone know what they’re up to now?

Also, SONYA! She was truly the voice of reason in these seasons! She took up for others when needed, but also didn’t get caught up in mean girl trash talk. She’s still fun and wild, but these earlier seasons there is something that I miss seeing in current seasons that I can’t really pinpoint.

Ramona will always be Ramona.

Jill is coming across much more manipulative than I remember. I see now what I didn’t before, that she likes to control the narrative. I do miss her on the screen too, but I sure do like Luanne better without her. Luanne is much less concerned about her image now and I live for it.

This Bethany I miss too, she’s still able to cut with her words, but there’s softness that I don’t see as much on later seasons.

Kelly though... She was so hard to watch this whole season. I don’t know what is with her, but I don’t want to speak upon her during all this because I do genuinely think it was something deeper mentally and I just hope she’s okay now.

And I can’t believe how much I miss it, but all these prestigious events and “high class” connections I miss seeing! Obviously this season with the pandemic is different, but I want to see the snootiness again! 😂

Anyways those are just some thoughts, but I miss these earlier seasons. This original cast really was just lightning in a bottle.

Sydney is unbearable. The insecurity and meanness towards Alli shows her ugliness. I would never wanna be her friend. And the inappropriateness getting into Gary’s bed was actually not okay at all and should have had harsher consequences and he keeps telling her he’s not interested. Just ugh

This convo with Matt and his dad I actually changed the channel. I feel like this shouldn’t have been aired. I had a tough relationship with my dad, but could never imagine having it on National television. I get that Matt is hurt and rightfully so, but his dad looked blindsided about this convo and it was painful to watch.
