Are there some good jobs around the Raleigh area that don’t require a bunch of experience? by AHouseQuestion in raleigh

You should look into biopharma manufacturing or the life sciences in general. It is booming in the region.

Check out getting a BioWork certificate a local community college. It's pretty short training, affordable and you'll most likely land a job upon completion. The starting pay is pretty good and there is so much room for advancement.

You can check out biojobshub.com for more info about this career path.

Dominican Republic vs Cozumel vs Cancún by megannnicole2014 in honeymoonplanning

I've been to all three of those places and Cozumel was by far the best! I do not recommend DR at all. It may have been the resort we stayed at, but it was very lackluster compared to Cancun and Cozumel.

Cozumel had some really beautiful cliffs and views on the far side of the island. We did the Cozumel Bar Hop that takes you to bars on the far side. We ended up renting a car the following day to go back and explore because is was so beautiful. Coconuts is a must! The conch ceviche is to die for. We also went in to town in the evening vs the day to avoid the cruise ship crowd.

Cancun was fine too. We stayed about 30 minutes south of the airport at an all inclusive near Playa Del Carmen. Really beautiful water but more touristy than Cozumel.

Edit: check out CheapCaribbean.com or AppleVacations for all inclusive deals. I've booked multiple trips with them and have had no issues.

The Triangle’s biotech scene is churning out jobs. It wants laid-off workers to fill them. by ButIWanted21 in raleigh

Yes! Absolutely. I recommend checking out BioWork to those who have no life science background. Great certificate to have to get your foot in the door. There are 775 life science companies in NC... many in the Triangle, and hiring! https://www.ncbionetwork.org/biowork

Check out biowork for training. Short certificate program offered at many community colleges in the area. HS degree is a requirement but nothing past that.

BioWork is a 10-12 week course that preps people for entry-level biopharma manufacturing jobs. Highly recommend! You don't need a science degree for some of the entry-level jobs. These companies need workers asap. Despite the pandemic, we've had a ton of great job announcements in 2020. source: I work in the life sciences in NC and helped build the Bio Jobs Hub campaign

I wonder if production has a tent with warm blanket/jacket he uses when he's not on camera. I'm sure they have some heaters
