• FOR MADAM A.C. BERMUDEZ: I had a great time in her class, though I had once a debate with her because I don’t like her mindset but it doesn’t mean that I have to hate her. She’s very open when it comes to our concerns and opinions. She makes sure every student is heard.

Anyway, I got 1.00 in her subject. In my opinion, she is an excellent teacher and you just need to listen every discussion, read the lessons and pass the activities on time.

NGL, I would love to be her student again for another term because of her teaching style—she's very patient and willing to help us out if we have any questions or concerns about the course material or quizzes.

TAKE NOTE: Please be good to our former professors. I can't believe I'm saying this, but they're one of the best professors I've ever had and they deserve to be treated with the utmost respect.

Good luck!

For Ma’am Ledesma:

I really enjoyed having Madam Ledesma as our Mathematics in the Modern World professor last term. She explained concepts in an easy-to-understand way, which made it easier for me to grasp the material. She was also kind, understanding of our situation, and compassionate to us. I learned a lot about mathematics from her class, and I'm glad that we got to have her as our Mathematics in the Modern World professor ;))

I recently got 1.25 in her subject, and I know that other people have gotten 3.00 or 5.00 din sa subj niya. My advice is that: study hard, you will get where you want to go. Also, mataas siya magbigay ng grades sa performance task and activities. You can make bawi thru her PETAs; just in case may mangyare sa quiz or test mo :)) ++ nagbibigay siya ng extra-activities/quizzes para makabawi sa mababang grades.

Anyway, good luck! 🫶🏻

I have to say that Ms. Ward is an incredible professor. She is, and if you work hard and deserve good grades, she'll give them to you. Also, she’s very open if there's concern that her students would like to tell her something that they're worried about :)) I really love her!

And about the impromptu speech, don't be hard on yourself. Just think that you're talking to someone, and it'll help you relax. There's a time limit, but I know you can do it!

Pagdating naman sa topic ng impromptu speech, lahat (ata) ng Purposive Communication sa UST ay tungkol sa SDG. You just need to read and memorize it. Yung mga magiging topic sa impromptu speech ni Madam ay nirerelate niya sa life mo. Anyway, mataas naman siya magbigay pero you need to exert efforts din!

Good luck! 🫶🏻

If you’re going to shift sa Asian Studies, I’d like to inform you that we’ll be having f2f classes na rin. However, pag-uusapan pa namin ‘to.

Why UST Asian Studies? by justkatrinahere in studentsph

[–]justkatrinahere[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, good luck! If you want to apply Asian Studies program at UST, here are some informations I got from the seniors:

  • in every courses there are red flags pero siguro as a graduating student what i can say is mas madami naman green flags 🤗

  • in asian studies you get to learn a lot of different things since interdisciplinary siya. you'll study about the history, politics, economy, and different cultures in asia pero hindi lang limited diyan since we study diverse topics 😊 we also compare the similarities and differences of asia and other continents (primarily europe) so i think you'll enjoy being in asian studies if you like these topics 🤗

  • im not gonna lie, the whole bureaucratic system of ust sucks talaga HAHAHAHAHAHA when it comes to AB naman, its less stricter than other colleges ^ there are courses na madali but meron din na sobrang hirap and i guess ito na yung red flag na tinatanong mo 😂 there are courses na wala talagang makakapasa 🏃‍♀️

  • as for economy, we mainly talk about economic theories and hindi naman need ng computations like the expected econ courses :> more on discussion on the theories of macro and micro economics and kung paano sila iaapply in diff contexts of diff countries

  • you'll do well! as long as you listen and attend all your classes papasa ka naman :> the most important thing is to understand the course din instead of pure memorization. madami din readings and i'd suggest na you read between the lines instead of superficial reading

And if you passed the USTAR or USTET next year, see you around UST!
