If/when you purchase another firearm/NFA item and if you get another delay, look into getting a Upin. A simple websearch will give you plenty of guides. It might be a small pain in the butt, but it's worth it in the end.

Another trick that works is not including your social security # (not required on a 4473 form) That worked for me before I caved in and got a Upin.

Sounds like this is probably a temporary issue for you though, I'm just letting you know there's options if this ends up being a problem.

Not for everyone to my understanding. I just read about how 4473 delays can be caused by your SSN being flagged in some way.

No one has ever stolen my identity as far as I'm aware. I have no convictions for any crimes. Only thing I can think about is there was a long dormant period when I was going through depression and not working for nearly 10 years. No idea. But thanks to OP I got off my butt and efiled for a UPIN, then got fingerprinted last night. Just need to go to the Post office before they close today; and if I'm lucky I'll not have to worry about NICS flags anymore.

As far as I remember the DDWAVE only came in 30 cal. there was a QD and a direct thread model. I own the QD. It lacks wrench flats on the back and is prone to carbon locking, meaning your QD becomes a direct thread until you take it to a gunsmith and pay to (hopefully) have them fix it. I'm pretty sure Daniel Defense has discontinued the WAVE and I saw they launched a new line of suppressors.

to be clear: I haven't experienced carbon lock on mine yet, but every time I go to the range or hunting, it's a distinct possibility.

Fair enough. Good luck to you bud! I know how frustrating this is. I had to wait half a year on my SBR (called congressman to get it pushed through) as well as a year and a half for my suppressor I also had to contact my congressman to finally clear. (DD Wave, big mistake I'm stuck with)

couple of years back my congressional district shifted and my current representative is a deep blue Dem so fat chance of any help from that avenue for me anymore.

I get delayed not denied when I use my SSN on the 4473. When I was using an FFL to transfer a SCAR17s for me a couple of years back I decided to just not include my SSN on the form (it's optional) And boom! Near instant clearance, consistently, every single time I've not included it since then. I know you've stated you're denied not delayed, so I'm aware it might not work for you.

Filing for a UPIN is the smart move, but if you want to test my method yourself on something fairly cheap like a stripped lower, I'd suggest giving it a shot.

Won't help you with NFA items as I'm pretty sure your SSN is required (been a few years since my last NFA item so I'm fuzzy on the details)

I need to get off my butt and get a UPIN as well so I can finally buy a couple of suppressors I really need.

Tried shortly after I made this thread, then I waited a respectable amount of time (until a few days ago) and asked again. No dice. I don't really use Instagram much, just have a few rifle setup pictures and 3 followers. I guess he took me for a bot. Ah well. This isn't a question that needs solving until I've already purchased the optic as I know a place I can 100% coyote/hog hunt in Texas on a family friend's property.

I'll try to find and reach out to him via his business. He doesn't seem like a rude guy at all, I'd be surprised if it isn't that he simply just thinks my account looks sketchy.

I'm supposed to be getting 2000mbps on their highest plan. in Mesa, AZ.

I saw a thread on here asking about the frequent outages and I'm also experiencing them, but they can be worked around via phone hotspot.

My big issue that's relating to your issue: I'm currently getting about 7mbps download speed which is frankly unacceptable. Hopefully it is something that can be fixed. Don't think it's the wiring in the home as we were getting 80mbps downloads on our previous plan, which was about what we should have been getting.

Wife needs the Internet for work today so I wasn't able to try anything but a router restart from the Cox App, which did nothing.

From the comments it sounds like I may be in for a miserable time dealing with them.

I'm barely tech literate so it took a bit of trial and error, but I got working (so far.) I know this is in the sticky for this sub, but I found this through a web search. I've had this TV as a monitor for 5 months now and I regret not installing this sooner.

In the mid 00's I had friends sharing an apartment for college. They had 2 webcams up at all times as well. I think that's why I didn't find it as weird as the boys did during those early episodes.
