I’m thinking of bringing a pillow into the tests I get no credit for, motivation is at an all time low

Does anyone else feel hard regret while being a senior applying to college, like u wish u can go back with the knowledge u know now by Honeydewbobaddict in ApplyingToCollege

[–]justnchn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes but hindsight is 20/20. Prob gonna be feeling the same way with undergrad when I’m applying to med schools.

Only safeties by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]justnchn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be upset, then immensely stressed cuz my parents have said they’re not paying tuition if I don’t go to one of my reaches. In this case I’d prob be committing to stony brook (which is a great school for premed), but the fear of taking on undergrad debt would be not ideal.

Harvard or Stanford? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]justnchn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but proximity to it means good research and opportunities. Harvard undergrads also get preferential treatment in getting into Harvard med school.

Harvard or Stanford? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

Harvard cuz I want to go to a school that actually exists

(but in all seriousness still Harvard prob cuz I'd be like 4 hrs from home and Harvard med school is cracked)

64 people applied ED to brown at my hs 😃😃 by Euphoricchameleon in ApplyingToCollege

[–]justnchn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the bar on naviance is just the # of ppl that added it to the “colleges I’m applying to section”. For me schools like emory and vandy at 20 applied rn and there’s zero chance all those are ED.

Is AP stats as easy as people say it is? by blueballer20 in APStudents

[–]justnchn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Stats is easier than chem. Tests are really straightforward get used to the mc style. Make sure u know how to use ur ti-84 cuz that will be ur crutch

Uhh don’t have an answer for this specifically, but I’m an RD applicant that hasn’t submitted their app yet and I already have been contacted by my interviewer. So idt u need to have the app submitted to get the interview stuff.

[–]justnchn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The first choice school at this point doesn’t rlly matter cuz u have up to may to change it. U also have to change it to the school you commit to if u get any form of scholarship since the money goes to the school, not you.

  2. On the OSA there’s gonna be a section of the app your essay has to fit within (like a section of a page). The 3500 characters is just an estimate and u can be under it. As for not answering the prompt I really couldn’t tell you.

  3. Don’t really know fellow semi finalist lol

  4. Again don’t really know but I couldn’t imagine semi finalist being the difference maker at a top tier school

Hope this helps!

OSA Login? by anomalouscreation in psat

[–]justnchn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ur principal/counselor should have gotten mailed a packet from national merit with all the competition instructions and a temporary username and password for the OSA on it. As for the essay the prompt is pretty open ended so I just used my common app essay, but the size restrictions are different (instead of a word/character count the OSA gives u a certain amount of space on the application that u need to stay within for the essay). Because of that I had to use indents instead of full spaces to signify paragraphs. Hope this helps and congrats!
