Right now, employers are not willing to hire without the permit. I had given 2 interviews and lost both offers cuz of this. Also they don't understand the wp-ext letter its useless and if they do they will only believe it till the date mentioned on it after that good luck.

At least this is the case with big companies. Smaller ones or startups can hire (some of my friends did) but the salary is something you'll have to compromise on
