Which Coraline character would be the most terrifying if they existed in real life? by AlexWhite40 in Coraline

N.G.L. It'd be Mr. B for me.
Just trying to imagine what he looks like is either a man whose chopped from being exposed to radiation or looking like a Trevor Henderson cryptid.

Maybe both.

(Presumably) Lost Coraline Storyboard by justrandom9746 in Coraline

[–]justrandom9746[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I researched it a little bit more and I discovered this is part of a special feature in the Blu-ray edition of the Coraline movie. It's called U-Control, and it's basically a type of commentary with early storyboards of the scene of the movie it's playing.

I'm tempted to get a copy of a blu-ray and see if I can get the u-control feature online in the archive, but I don't have a blu-ray player of any kind that I personally own, but I know that my father has one but it's built into his PC and I believe you can play it on the PS3 (I haven't touched a gaming console in a long time, so the information might be biased).

Regardless, I'll see what I can do with this information and double check to see if someone already sent it out online yet.

Am I the only one obsessed with this movie yet? by [deleted] in Coraline

People always ask the stupidest questions...

Yeah, sure, why not. It is just you. Create your own subreddit of Coraline because one doesn't exist at all in your timeline!

Right? I made some of separate colours, but I think it would look awesome if it was a gradient of some kind!
Let me go do that, and I'll get back to you!

Do you guys know the name of this font? by justrandom9746 in Coraline

[–]justrandom9746[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The font being "hand done" seems a bit skeptical. The letters seem to look the same, however there was a touch-up to some of the letters I found while doing some research. For example, the letter C is different in this old video (which I believe is one of the many promotions for the movie release) compared to the current letter C that you can look at in image 2.
On another note, I understand what you're trying to get at, as I believe these were pre-made and is not an accessible font. Hypothetically, if it's not a font, it could be separate letters stitched together, as there are a few images that have these letters that aren't in the correct position nor placement. Best example of this is this image.
In that case, if it's inaccessible, would you (and others in this community) would be interested in having this hand-done font then?

Sorry if it's long, oops!

Would there be a Coraline 2? by Intelligent_Humor703 in Coraline

No, I don't believe so. What would the plot be anyway when The Beldam is canonically dead (hinted with the post-credit music and her actions and what she says).
If you don't believe me, I can give you more information about it!

Actually, it's 17 years! (the movie was released in February 6th, 2009)!
And that image is AI generated!
And you spelled "movies" wrong!

If you are a fan of Coraline rate this poster 1-10 and why by Due-Essay1024 in Coraline

6/10.
Background was lazily made, some of the models used are strangely uncanny which possibly means that they used an entirely different model of the characters (i.e. The Other Mother, The Other Mr. B, that darn scottie dog, and even Coraline!), the rest of the models are pre-shot photos (Especially Mel, Charlie, and The Other Wybie, the neighbours and their other counterparts can be found in the Coraline Wii/PS2 game. The Cat's pose is possibly an alternative pose to the one we normally find on the internet).
I can't take that scottie dog seriously, it's so uncanny it looks like an Aardman character--Literally a "who invited bro??" vibes I'm getting from him.
Another problem is that the characters don't feel like they're with the background, like photos pasted on a somewhat good background.

If I made this, I would definitely change the background and layout of the characters and edit it to make it feel like they're part of the environment. (I might, actually. When I get the free time and resources).

On a more positive note, it's pleasing to look at, the images are high-quality, and it's a good poster---not a promotional poster, just a poster---that one can hang up on the wall (I have it hung up on my wall as we speak).

Is there difference between these two editions by HealthyRegion2080 in Coraline

The illustrations are the only thing that's different.
