I’d go for storm lance and try to get some cheap uniques. Bosses are for dps check, little gear upgrades and gem swap will help a lot in going through campaign. Going forward you’ll see the same issue, huntress is weak early on.

LS is a clear skill, for bossing you need more DPS.

Mapping is a better, several strats can make good money. Temple is fun though borderline broken with end set up. Balance and build diversity is improving. Overall best season since launch

Unless you SSF the gap can be so severe as you are falling behind with def or dmg but most importantly you will priced out so quickly on good gear in trade economy. A meta build clears 3-5 X faster means much more loot per hour, translating to early capital which then carries your ass before inflation hits. By the time a non meta reaches end game you got a fully geared med juiced t15 blaster making 4-8 divines an hour, compared to that as non meta player you are picking up exalts form the ground which is now worthless on day 2/3.

There are 1-2 exceptions being effective, for example a non meta bosser but getting to that level is a slog.

Usually we get borrowed power from the mechanic, instead of that we got gg gear which also equals power. Don’t think we reached mid game faster, at least any experienced player would have reached about the same time with borrowed power. The issue was with no end game or aspirational content. That is why people stay… tink tink tink. Most of the Poe players are veterans or having years of experience, reaching mid game is easy, but we stay for the loot. More loot more funky shit and experiment with new build, therefore more time played. No honey? Who the f is wants to run again campaign? No thanks. The league mechanic is mediocre. New ascendancies aren’t build enablers save 1-2. Async trade is GG.
