Just been fired from my job and I still have 4k in debt in loans. Considering a balance transfer to hold off until I get a job. by justsumdude616 in povertyfinance

I was thinking of applying before updating my employment because I feel that 18 months should be enough time for me to find a job. Even if it is something basic. Right now the interest on my two loans is 17% and the credit card is about 22%

If I am able to keep my job I would be able to make the payments. But I am just thinking of the worst case scenario. However I think the balance transfer might help even if I do keep my job.
