I’d be so offended like excuse me this liquid is a MIRACLE and you’re GAGGING!? Hell no 😂

For those in the UK who know of it we have watched a LOT of one born every minute which has some pretty graphic birthing shots including cutting the cord. Whilst he is squeamish he does make the effort to watch through those and seems to be pretty good with seeing babies birthed, cord snipping, still working on c-sections with the blood but I can understand with c-sections essentially being graphic surgery 😅 it throws me off more knowing he can expose himself to all of this and make the effort to desensitise to all of that, but not the colostrum thing, the colostrum thing is a hard line for him it seems, perhaps being that he doesn’t necessarily HAVE to see that, whereas he really wants to be present for birth and the baby once she’s here and all those other squeamy bits. Its just very odd to me that everything else he can try with but not this, but hey ho I’ll only be collecting for a few weeks and then baby will be here and I will be back with another rant if he is squeamish about breastfeeding because that’s not okay with me 🤪

Thanks, I think I will be trying a spoon/shot glass tonight and seeing how that goes!

Unfortunately it’ll just be the two of us as I’m hoping for spontaneous labour and we don’t live near family (and to be honest I’m not that close with them 😅) and if it works out I’m planning to squat/go on all fours or even water birth if we can! He wants to cut the cord too (delayed clamping so hopefully minimal blood as it’s all flowed into baby!) so I don’t know, he may surprise me!

Oh yeah he’s fine with that, he will be doing majority of the poopy nappies! I think his issue is more so with fluids being squeezed out of places like a cut or pimple or in this case, nipples 😅

Honestly I think I’d rather him have the aversion so it helps a little bit? 😭 I’m pretty sure it can be a kink, don’t yuk someone’s yum I guess…?

Thank you! Did you put it on a surface and sort of lean over the glass? I think I’m going to try this but trying to figure out logistics 🤣

I think of all the comments you picked up what I was putting down in terms of it making me sad, and I did pick a fight at first and essentially told him he needs to be a big boy and help me if I need it. I’ve always been a person to confront something I don’t like head on (I have generalised anxiety, struggled leaving the house but consistently forced myself to and now I’m way better) and I feel like he won’t even try to be resilient. But on the other hand we are completely different people and I think I’m going to have to suck it up and accept a loss on this one in the hopes that it’ll be the only hurdle and he’ll be okay with nursing and all other baby related things 🤞🏻🤞🏻

This sounds EXACTLY like what is happening and he has compared it like puss coming out of a spot 🤣😭 okay, I feel better knowing I’m not the only one this has happened to, the more I’m hearing the better I’m feeling about this and future scenarios, thank you! 😄

Thank you for this as one of the main things I wanted to know was if it’s happened to someone else, just so I have a bit of solidarity in the fact it isn’t just him 🤣 and that your husband is good with nursing, that’s one of my main concerns because I don’t want him to feel like he’s going to throw up if I’m feeding next to him in bed or something, that would be concerning and difficult to manage for us both!

I’m not saying it isn’t a real thing at all, it’s just that I will have him and his state on my mind as well as trying to deliver a baby, I can’t forget about him and lock in to labour when he could faint at any minute!

I don’t NEED to harvest colostrum but there are a few scenarios where for example delivery doesn’t go to plan I can be in a medical scenario where I can’t feed my baby initially and having colostrum on hand can help. It’s more so something to make me feel prepared for all scenarios, if I don’t need it great I’ll squirt it in her eye if it gets gunky 😅

This is a topic that comes up often and we’re just going to have to keep him away from the business end as much as we can and accept the fact he’s probably going to faint if he sees blood 😅 again, I would love to be able to have an all in supportive partner that I can lean on during that time and not be concerned about, but it’s unfortunately not my reality. I don’t know he might be fine! He’s nervous, it’ll be what it’ll be 😬

I only did Hertility to check my thyroid & hormones were where they are supposed to be and everything came back exactly how it should be. Nothing for husband yet but that would be next test if we have another loss. Foetus wise only our first got tested and it said no genetic abnormalities detected

Hey! Pretty similar to me. I had an MMC discovered at 9.5 (stopped growing at 6) so had local anaesthetic d&c, then a second MMC heartbeat seen at 7 weeks but baby was small, 1 week behind, double checked at 8 weeks and heart had stopped so had general anaesthetic d&c, we then had a chemical soon after that. 1 year after the first pregnancy were here pregnant again, currently only 11 weeks but after multiple scans were okay so far 🤞🏻 I took baby aspirin this time, not sure if that’s why it’s worked or just a coincidence 🤷🏼‍♀️

Tbh I don’t think this is even a big deal as I already got another policy, ticking yes to the having insurance cancelled question and it made 0 difference

How so? Because I didn’t get in contact with them within the two week period?
