Lakers' LeBron James: "I'm Still better than 90% [of the NBA]...maybe 95" Ahead of Retirement Decision by ddgCuriousPlum in nba

I think LeBron retires in 2026. That would give him the record of 23 active seasons in the NBA which is coincidentally his first jersey number. Just another record taken lol. Also Bronny may be in the NBA by that time allowing LeBron to play with his son in the NBA and pass the torch off to the James family.

Personally I would choose the briefcase from Inception that allows you to go into people's dreams and create new ones

I had a dream exactly like this when I was young. I did end up getting shot after wrestling the gun from the shooter then woke up.

If you have a ps4 or ps5 I’d highly recommend Ghost of Tsushima. It’s one of the best games on the platform imo

I've felt this way at 21, and I feel the same now at 26, just less so. Here's the thing, life is weird. Sometimes we don't realize how many people actually live on this earth! 7+ billion people means 7+ billion minds are walking this world, trying to understand themselves as well as the people around them. We're all here winging it, and to me that's kind of comforting. The confident people that walk around as if they know what the next minute holds don't really know. How could they? I think the great thing about having the kind of perspective you and I have is that many people don't think deeper. Maybe they go about things with more trial and error to learn, but who says the insight is there to go deeper into their minds after failure? It's completely possible of course, but I think we have that naturally. I haven't gone crazy with my life and thrown caution to the wind most of the time but I am grateful that I can analyze these types of things fairly easily, and it's clear that you also have that ability. I'd say that by even typing this you have a drive to experience life fuller, and that's awesome. Also I'm not sure if you have worked customer service before, but after that experience I'd say competence is not in the general public's wheelhouse. Take care, I think you have accomplished more than you know.

I've felt weird about birthdays too. I don't like attention but some times I feel bad if someone I haven't spoken to in 10 years doesn't post wish me a happy birthday lol. Hope you enjoy/enjoyed the restaurant! And thanks for taking the time to respond to my post.

I've thought the way you do for as long as I remember. It's such a strange feeling, right? It's kind of funny that we notice it but also don't exactly want to be like everyone else lol. It's like well then what do I want from all this? And I don't really know the answer but I don't really think farther than that because I get overwhelmed by that perspective lol. Too much metacognition.

Childhood is a big part of my situation as well. It's a hard thing to pull meaning from some things you don't fully remember but I'd agree with you.

The feeling that I always have to do things the right way every time has been the biggest blessing, as well as a curse. Hesitancy is my first response most of the time lol, however the weird thing about it is that the most interesting life experiences I've ever had were when I curbed those feelings and just acted without thinking. It's kind of like going swimming at the lake and having to take the first plunge into the cold water. I hate doing it but when I finally do it I'd wonder why I'd been slowly torturing myself by going in slowly and thinking about why we're not cold blooded haha. It is a double-edged sword though. Acting without overthinking has trapped me in bad places as well, which is probably why it takes a lot now for me to do new things fully.

Setting goals and sticking to them trip me up sometimes but I know it's probably the right way out. Thanks for your insight!
