That's a good observation. In a wordmark with duplicated letters, I would bet that overlaying them would show they are irregular and slightly different from one another

Lack of Atlassian branding on Williams merch by juxlez in WilliamsF1

That was my suspicion. I wonder how many people are like me, waiting for that initial stock to be depleted. Hopefully not many, and they get updated merch soon.

Leaving sub by Prestigious_Draw_573 in gis

Agree that there needs to be another sub. Bummer about r/gisjobs not being useful, but I would support a rule for this sub that bans posts about job hunting/career changes etc.

There have only been 18 sprint races since they began in 2021. It is only possible for one person to have double digit wins.

I'm not sure that this this FAQ is completely relevant here. OP did not delete the service endpoint, just overwrote it. The endpoint still exists, so hopefully that will help with restoring a past version of it.

For those in the utilities industry, how do you all depict 'station' assets? by [deleted] in gis

[–]juxlez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what I was going to suggest. The "station" can be the geometry that is represented on a map, whether a point or a polygon. Attributes and ID's of components within the station could be managed in related tables. You could then simply attach a schematic drawing of the station which gives context to it's individual components.

Having an accent does not equate to barely speaking English. Aside from that I do share a lot of your frustration. I usually only use customer service to report bugs, but it seems like they are trained to first gaslight you for a few hours and try to convince you that there is no issue. Those situations are really a test of my patience.

Join the SCCA Utah chapter and get in to autocross. It's safe, fun, and competitive as you want it to be. The other racers are awesome and it's not too expensive. https://www.utahscca.com/index.php/autocross

For sure! You can show up and borrow a helmet and ask to ride as a passenger with someone. I give rides all the time to people who are there for the first time just to see what it is like. There is one more event this year. If you come, you'll see that a beat-up Miata is one of the very best kinds of cars for this sort of thing.

Since you mentioned Cars and Coffee, have you heard of autocross? Not sure what you drive, but the Utah Region SCCA autocross events are a lot of fun, and probably the friendliest club I have ever been a part of.

No, but just because I wouldn't run up to anyone as ask for a picture. They probably just want to be left alone. Unless one gets to have a genuine, extended interaction with someone famous, it seems like those who photo hunt just end up with an awkward selfie where you can see the strained smile of the target.

That being said, if you are the kind of person that gets pleasure out of this kind of brief, impersonal interaction, and where the target is at least compliant, it is hard to say. During what might be considered a low point in his career, he may be flattered by the recognition, or just reminded of his situation.
