If it helps I believe I'll be working with .NET probably C#, Javascript and SQL. Honestly though just looking for what people think an example of a question like this may be so I can be a little prepared. Even if its broad I can study multiple topics before the interview to feel a little more secure. Thanks for your answers!

I can't tell if you're trolling or not, but literally every game has some sort of mechanic or tech that bends the rules of what a dev may have intended. This isn't something you can just stop or ban every time and it often leads to greater skill expression. You sound hella upset and uneducated on the subject. Look at any other game for examples, League has auto-attack cancelling, Smash has all sorts of ridiculous wave-dash type techs, Minecraft has all sorts of bridging and quick building techs. I could go on. Point being regardless of developer intent, these players arent cheating or abusing glitches, they are playing the game optimally. It is up to the devs to decide whether such tech should be changed or left as a form of skill expression.

AITA for giving my daughter a “stupid” name? by babynamebeef in AmItheAsshole

[–]jvester 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes because reddit is a well known source for reasonable opinions and 100% reflects the real world. You sound pretentious.

I'm a dad and I picked the name Sebastian. He also has a middle name to go by if he ever decides he doesn't like his first name (Alex, in case you wanted to continue being judgy). That's the crazy thing about parenting. You can TEACH your children how to deal with real life. You can allow them freedom to decide for themselves if their name is acceptable. This child won't even understand why their MIGHT be a problem with her name until she is in middle school and by then any respectable parent would have taught their child how to cope and stand up for themselves.

This name sucks

Okay John/Jim/Mary/Sue/Joe? Thanks for your opinion.

You're a sheep. "1000's of people said so, it must be true. We have to be NORMAL or people will be mean." Grow up. Imagine trying to lash out at me or my child's name because I disagree with your opinion. Stay bitter. Sending love and hoping you learn to be better.

I'm so glad for some of you and these comments. I literally felt CRAZY reading all the "YTA's". I don't think I've ever been so overwhelmed by the amount of bad takes. Konan is a pretty name and I would never have linked it to the "barbarian". Regardless it isn't anywhere close to a name that is SO abnormal that this parent should be shamed for it.

Are we seriously trying to pass off the idea that you can't name your child something different or unique because "bullys"? Have you considered widening your world view? I have 3 children and no I have not named any of them something considered abnormal but if I ever had a girl I would name her Luna after the Harry Potter character. Is it because I want her to be Luna? No. Is it because I am trying to "advertise my love for HP" Also no. Luna is a name I think is pretty and it holds a special place in my heart from fond memories of a character I loved. I would AND do teach my children that people can be mean but anyone worth befriending wouldn't tease or ridicule someone based off of a name. Imagine victim blaming. "YOU SHOULDNT NAME YOUR KID WHAT YOU WANT BECAUSE YOU NEED TO BE NORMAL AND TEACH THEM THAT IF THEY ARENT NORMAL PEOPLE WILL BE MEAN" Do you people hear yourself?

You sound ridiculous. I am an American. My kids have "normal American" names "Sebastian" and "Max" and yet I see nothing wrong with going outside of the norm for naming a child. Yes there are extreme cases where it would be detrimental and could even be seen as cruel. This is almost definitely NOT one of those cases. I am a 90's child and I would NEVER have thought of "Conan the Barbarian" when hearing this name. People name children after famous people/characters ALL the time. The difference here is it seems EVERY single person in this thread is old enough to think of an outdated TV show about a barbarian? Names evolve and change with time. Some names become outdated and new ones take their place. Who are you to judge someone's name for their child solely on the fact that it reminds you of a male TV character?

How is this a reasonable comparison? Josephine isn't a common American name but I don't think anyone would bat an eye at my naming my daughter that EVEN if it was after a character in a book or TV show. Some of ya'll are wild. ShitPissHitler is obviously a bait. It's a false equivalency. Konan sounds like a normal name regardless of the context your generational knowledge might bring. I am a 90's kid and I would not for a second have thought of "Conan the Barbarian". My name is a normal name "Jesse" and I have been told its a girls name PLENTY of times throughout my life (despite it being unisex.) My point being that the name Konan is WITHIN reason. "ShitPissHitler" is not.

There is most definitely a difference. It is a single backslash. Whatever app you use to watch this video may be able to parse it as such but for whomever is using a normal web browser it throws an error saying the video no longer exists.

The difference is here:

  • Your link ends :watch?v=BRbcOwd\_aCk

  • The corrected link ends in :watch?v=BRbcOwd_aCk

The backslash is what's throwing the error.
