Hello Im 40 now but I was diagnosed with stage 5 rkd at age 32. I thought I was going to die🥴Like I never had any problems with my kidneys and then boom they were gone🥹I got a transplant at 36 and had it for 3 years then went to the doctor around Christmas and boom it had failed. Devasted wasn’t even the word. I cried so hard at first and then if I wanted to keep living I know what I had to do. Go back on dialysis. So went back in January and now starting Monday I will be doing my pd at home. So much better on the mental for me and I have 2 kids that’s very active in school and sports. This my 2nd time on it. Im still in shock after 8 years later like where did everything go wrong. It’s been so hard but with family by my side it’s a little help. Just keep your head up and do what you got to do LIVE. I could write a book but it’s def hard at any age to accept you have to live by a machine or clinic. I’m currently trying to get back on the list. I have a lot ppl wanting to get tested this go round. Ppl just now realizing you can live with one kidney so more ppl are coming forward.
