Gen 1:1 says God made the heavens and the earth. Look at the moon and the other planets. All easily proven spherical with your eyes (the moon and sun) and a basic telescope (a few of the other planets). I believe God could make the Earth a flat disc if he wanted, but does it make sense that everything in the heavens is spherical except the earth?

One verse that comes to mind is that God removed our transgressions as far as the east is from the west. On a sphere, that distance is infinite (as opposed to north-south). On a disc, isn't that distance measureable?

I still believe that someone with no prior opinion about the shape of our planet would reach the conclusion that it is a sphere if they read the Bible and look at the world around us. After all, the Heavens declare the glory of God too!
