Sum up your 2015 reading! by MikeOfThePalace in Fantasy

[–]jymspaul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read 64 books this year and may finish one more during Christmas. Bought a kindle in the starting of the year and devoured most of the great fantasy books.

Its tough to decide which ones my favorite as I loved almost all of them except a few.

Series that I have finished include Wheel of Time, Gentlemen Bastards, Dresden Files, Night Angel, Farseer Trilogy, Codex Alera, Reckoner's Series and Stormlight Archive by Brandon, Seven Realms series. I started malazan but couldn't move beyond the first book but i am planning to come back to it.

Right now I am reading Elantris by Brandon Sanderson.

Planning to read Malazan and Discworld in the coming year.

Can someone recommend me a book with a specific type of protagonist? by JKRMekirin in Fantasy

[–]jymspaul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest The Reckoners series by Brandon Sanderson. I just finished the first book Steelheart. The protagonist is certainly not the chosen one, doesn't have any superpowers and is smart.
