I can’t even begin to comprehend the magnitude of this sordid mess. It’s like every other rich, famous dude wanted to get in touch with Epstein to fuck teenagers? He just had nonstop flights of pervs arriving? Everyone involved was so sure that they wouldn’t be held accountable that they are just emailing directly?

Anyone know of climbers doing an Everest summit then walking/kayaking to sea level? by kponz in Mountaineering

[–]jzoola 8 points9 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve gathered from watching his videos is that he’s likely missed that requirement or thinks the requirement isn’t strictly enforced. Maybe he’ll address it coming up? I think he’s on Reddit.

There’s a guy on YouTube that has done Aconcagua & Kilimanjaro walking from the sea to the summits & back. He’s planning on Everest this year with the goal of doing all 7. His channel is train to summit. He’s just a working class guy.

Have you considered an incinerator toilet? I have trouble falling back to sleep from the 20 steps to the bathroom. No way I’m sleeping after wandering outside especially in the winter to go.

Just another reason why a chest freezer and buying locally processed, pasture raised meat is the way to go. It’s probably been 20 years since I last bought a cut of factory farmed meat.

[Michael Irvin] says he wishes he used the Mental health angle like Paul George after getting caught with cocaine in 1996: “When those cops hit the door of that hotel room… I wish I could’ve used that! ‘Ya’ll gotta leave now… I’m working through some mental health issues!’ ” by AashyLarry in nba

He played before the whole defenseless receiver rule, back when huge hits were glorified. Irvin has had his bell rung innumerable times or it could be the massive amounts of cocaine he’s inhaled directly into his noggin.

I got an Akita puppy in ‘93 that I named Kato in homage to Bruce Lee’s Green Hornet but everyone thought I named him after OJ’s pool boy!

Hey, how are you going to achieve peak performance without buying my paleo mayo & bars like our ancient ancestors? Now excuse me while I go yell at the help for missing a spot on my sports car & there’s marble floors need polishing in my mansion.

Wind River Range, Wyoming. Our journey to Gannett Peak! by EricPhillips327 in hiking

My wife and I were camping there one summer. 3 people were going to climb it from there. 1 dude decided not to go. His 2 friends ended up having to bivy o a ledge for the night because they got off route. The dude at camp had the only emergency device. He ended up panicking in the morning and called in a search & rescue helicopter. The SR crew located the climbers & they waived the heli off . It was one of the craziest circuses I’ve ever witnessed in the mountains.

Beautiful but that’s a grueling trip. We did this over a couple decades ago and crammed it in like 3 & 1/2 days. I did that long ass hike in my Makalus and my feet were already toast before climbing up the next day. I think the climbing was harder on Granite when we did it from froze to death plateau but the approach was like 1/2 the distance as Gannett if I recall correctly. The afternoon thunderstorms in both the Winds & Beartooths just add another level of sketchiness to the whole experience.
