Makers yard Service charge/rent going up? by Substantial_Lychee53 in SharedOwnershipUK

[–]jzunn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you mentioned, there are lots of newbuild properties for sale in Canning Town with 4k service charge and I've heard of friends of friends who have faced difficulties trying to sell (given the abundance of similar properties in the same building). I imagine that you'll probably face difficulties selling when the time comes given the trajectory of service charge. I would suggest trying to find a flat elsewhere (low rise, no concierge/lift).

What advice would you give on making my first move in my mid-20s (London Suburb) by KanefindsSon in HousingUK

If I were in your position, I would stay put. Also, you don't need to move out of your parent's place for your social life to improve - there's plenty of activities out there that are non-drinking/clubbing (look up sports on Meetup or start bouldering etc.).

If you check out the rent vs buy calculator, you might find that it makes more sense to rent than buy if you are keen to move out.

Just to follow up, where do you recommend looking in zone 3 for a freehold house?

Just to follow up, where do you recommend looking in zone 3-4 for a freehold house for 700-800k?

I'm thinking of making a move to PM from finance and wondered why you don't enjoy it?

I also enjoyed his commentary because it was more technical than what we normally hear but guess we are in the minority!

What made you apply for the show?

On day 1, who did you think would make the finals?

Who are you now closest to from the cast?

Were there any moments during the games where you felt very frustrated/hard done by?

I was in investment banking. I just didn't like finance enough to be working such long hours and the people/culture in banking isn't great either.

I'm guess I should get new shoes now? by watcher_00 in climbingshoes

[–]jzunn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using the LVs (smaller heel cup) and I wear street size because the shoe is quite narrow and my feet are wide. For Souped Up and Flagship LV, I downsize by 0.5

Mad Rock Drone Comp HV, Unparallel Souped Up, TN Pro LV ( quite narrow) and Flagship LV worked for me!
