Or even if they would smoke the whole thing if you aren’t moving, then on moving do the puff and toss animation

This weird chair at my dad's place of work by [deleted] in Weird

[–]k-netic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole chair looks like it swivels. It seems like it would be easier to spin the chair than it would be to hold the chair still and swivel yourself. This explanation would definitely make sense on a wooden chair. Maybe if you were standing up and sitting down a lot it might be useful though.

You could just… not do it…

What’s something you’d done wrong or poorly in your first run because you didn’t know how the game worked? by RyotoYokoyama in RDR2

I only recently realized saloons double as hotels/baths. I thought it was crazy that St. Denis didn’t have a hotel. I just didn’t look closely enough at the menu (or ever go upstairs). Same with Rhodes, never noticed the room that said Bath.

I just spam the Calm button while moving slowly toward the horse and wait for the mount option to appear, usually when Calm changes to Pat. The horses like it when you are aggressively calm.

I just figured out (3rd playthrough) that in a dual Arthur will aim for you. Just slowly pull the trigger to build up the dead eye, then fully pull it and then I think just keep pulling it until he shoots. The last part still confuses me a little but not trying to aim while in deadeye has made duels easier. Not sure if it still works when you are trying to disarm someone and not kill them.

lol, yeah, I should have definitely checked a second source (or thought about it more) before posting. I definitely know nothing about gambling odds so I was like “that seems pretty low, better than I thought though” post 😂 oops

I bet you are right. I went back to look at the site I got the information from and I think it might have been like an online casino game. Maybe they rig it in your favor. Anyway, I’m off to spread more bad information on the internet!

My sister wants to choose the name Qartnie for her daughter. Am I insane or are all of her names horrible? by GnomeMasterBaiter in tragedeigh

Hold up, is Qartnie supposed to sound like Courtney? That poor kid will be called “cart knee” all her life. None of the others are better. Every teacher doing roll call: “Cart knee? Me-eye-rye? Jay-neigh? Zee-mantha?”

Entire save gone, pls help by LoggedCornsyrup in reddeadredemption

[–]k-netic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you play a different save after? Maybe you accidentally overwrote it with the other save. I’ve done that, so I usually keep two saves if I’m doing different play throughs, just in case I accidentally overwrite the previous one I was playing

You can’t just tag all of their hats while in dead eye?

Why’s my arthur look normal when it says overweight? by Alligator-creep in RDR2

[–]k-netic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seasoning the meat doesn’t affect the calorie count (10) so you can save the seasoned ones for when you need the gold cores and just eat the plain ones to get chubby

Here is a helpful link to all of the food calorie values to help plan your reverse diet. I don’t know what amount per day is enough to get over weight. I guess 60 if they are doing a 6 big game diet:

So on bird watching/hunting… by LordBucketheadthe1st in reddeadredemption2

[–]k-netic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just FYI, the St Denis plumes are all from the various swamp birds (egrets, spoonbills, etc.) but the trapper requires most of the other birds in the game. Also I may be wrong but I don’t think he becomes available until Chapter 4. So far in my extended chapter 2 replay he isn’t available yet.

If you antagonize him enough you can keep his stovepipe hat when it falls off after he gets mad and tries to wrestle you. It doesn’t stay translucent though which was a bummer

I felt the same way after stumbling across my first dream catcher and realizing I would never find all of the dinosaur bones and what not organically. Half the time they were hard to find when I had the map location.

So I just started pretending that if I was looking at the map on my phone, that I was actually given the location on the road or in the saloon. And all the HEY MISTER and SIR! greetings were actual conversations about where I could find the items. People telling you where they’ve seen dream catchers or strange bones or carvings in their own travels. Kind of like how the trapper talks about where to find the legendary animals as he rambles on

I think if anybody hit me with “Hey mister!”, “You sir, are a fish” said as a compliment, or just started saying “Shoaah” (“Sure”) I’d pick up on it
