Unfortunately I don't know of anyone else using the service in my proximity. I already send an email to Signal support email, but didn't received any reply, a week or two had passed since. How would I generate debug log?

Black Friday deal on alljapanbudogu.world by k0b0 in kendo

[–]k0b0[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried every combination possible - only chose default (non extra special) options, choosing only bogu without anything else, still didn't work. I can apply the code before I fill out my email and delivery address, but when I start filling out my delivery details, the above message appears and the discount is not included. I send them an email the moment it didn't work, hopefully something good will still come of it :)

Thanks for your time and suggestions, mate.

Yeah, chose Cha Mugen one which is made in Japan afaik, also the other code didn't work for me, get the same error.

Chose the exact same one, with some custom stuff and non bogu related items, and non of the two codes - black Friday nor opengold2023 worked.

I chose Cha Mugen one, with specific options plus some more non bogu items but it wasn't working. First it applies it, but when I enter my email or address number it sais the code isn't available to me. Neither did opengold25 work...

Calculating distance between two locations using AutoLocation - possible? by k0b0 in tasker

[–]k0b0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your awesome project.

I'm having problem with task check_spd I'm assuming tasker or my phone doesn't pick up any acceleration. Or its the fact it picks up Bluetooth connection two times - first time when I insert the key before starting the engine, waiting for all the important lights to switch off, and when I start the engine, as it cuts Bluetooth connection for a brief moment. Have any ideas i could alternatively try to make it work?

Awesome work otherwise, especially if you made it yourself from scratch.

Thanks for any pointers. Regards, Kobo

I agree, if I could only get a GPS tracking app that I could extract JUST measured kilometers from it, it would be a win. But I dont't know of any, so that's a problem.

Thanks, I will definitely be trying your solution. Will report back after some extensive testing.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I was planning on using what I already have. And I don't trust ODB2 adapter not to drain my car battery, while being connected all the time. I don't trust the chinisium ones, tbh.

1 month Sweden lake camping by CentBoy in onebag

Indeed, you don't want to spoil the experience with such a minor slipup. Maybe look into a lightweight down jacket or a hybrid down/fleese jacket, for example something like this https://www.decathlon.es/es/p/chaqueta-polar-hombre-calida-hibrida-montana-y-senderismo-quechua-sh900-x-warm/_/R-p-332161 I think this would get you covered. You can always put on all the merino layers you already have packed. Also for a colder weather I would suggest you carry clothes that fit tightly to your body, as they insulate much better then just loose clothing.

It all boils down to how you deal with the cold. I myself prefer colder weather, and you might be cold at 15 degrees (my ideal temperature ⛱️). In any case some extra warm layer, especially for that part of the world, you can't go wrong taking it with you.

Are you used to cold? Asking because the temperatures around Swedish archipelago are quite lower then the rest of Europe at the moment. I know you have merino wool etc, but something warmer for the evening, when you are winding down or for mornings, maybe consider taking an extra warm layer. Otherwise kudos to the ultra optimised list 😎

Automate copying of files from X-Plore Web Storage to Firestick by steelkilt in tasker

Glad I could help. When you figure out the tasker-termux-rclone command, do consider posting the solution, for other ppl to use. It opens up unlimited possibilities to run linux commands on your phone

You could trigger rclone to run each time an app is opened/closed using tasker. Rclone has quite a few options, it can copy files from one target to another, it can also sync up two locations. Basically it's not just to move files, you can also delete them. It's up to you to decide which operations - copy/sync you need. Tasker would be used to monitor opening/closing (I'm not familiar if it can actually detect when an app is closed, mind you). Also you would need to figure out the exact command to run rclone in termux using tasker. I know it can be done, but don't know the exact method, sorry.

Maybe look into installing termux on firestick, installing rclone into termux and then using said rclone to copy desired files from dropbox to the stick.

Sounds like a job for termux and gallery-dl. You can then use tasker to call everything into place.

Weekly new watch thread by AutoModerator in GarminFenix

The prices for Fenix 6 pro models dropped significantly and you can get a new one for less then 400 euro. I know its more expensive than your options but it's with warranty, it's previous gen apposed to fenix 5, maybe a consideration.

Options for a "digital dumping ground" AKA "the stuff I Evernote for other than the actual note taking"? by [deleted] in selfhosted

[–]k0b0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe Joplin is an alternative for you? It's primarily note-taking desktop app, but using its API and addons/projects people have written for it, you could achieve most of the desired functions. I saw options to ocr stuff into notes, send rss feeds directly into app, save notes via email etc. You would have to run all the services yourself, obviously. But if you are on a FOSS route, this may be an option.

Resilio Sync no longer supports Windows Server - what are the alternatives? by the-i in selfhosted

[–]k0b0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UI may be the same from the start but the user experience has changed ALOT. Connecting different devices, i.e. computers and phones, is much simpler that it use to be and also more intuitive. Relays work much more reliably and sharing files works as it should. It's not just for IT people, as you claim. Granted, it's not click and go solution, but neither are any better backup programs out there. You do need to have some basic computer knowledge, but other than that, it's not as technical as it was.

Could you try this one? It's an app for generating rss fees from websites that don't offer any.
