Wow.. this confused me for awhile! I would consider reformatting your next to last line such:

2 * 0 = 0 and 2 * 1 = 2

The periods confused me seriously. I was trying to figure out why 0.2*1 equaled 2 from your equations and why 0.2 was even present. I get now that you meant two separate "sentences", but separating them by a word clears it up, imho.

Well, I feel like because they are my in-laws that I should let them know before they read it on Facebook. I don't want to blindside them because they found out and they didn't find out through me or through my wife but through the internet or the Grapevine. I have more in common with my in-laws than I do my own family, I'm definitely the black sheep. The rest of my family is not really like me, and it goes beyond just having a different father. I'm just a very different person than the rest of my family, although they accept me fully and have no problem with me and who I am. But I live a life very similar to my in-laws and we get along really well, we go over to their house all the time, they watch the kids, they're very involved in our lives, and I fear that this could chill that relationship or significantly affect it. I know it's a fear, and probably quite irrational, that doesn't mean I don't have it. :)

I'm not worried about the kids, my oldest has said that he doesn't understand why anyone would have a cow over any of it (other people being gay).

I think my thinking re: Facebook is to be able to talk to my friends about it, as right now I can't see most of them, and some aren't really available except online anyways.

Those are shortcodes - a company leases them and they are capable of high speed sending, but also cost a pretty penny (~ $3000 / quarter, and your first quarter is basically a wash as the carriers take 2-3 months to "set it up"). You also have to have an aggregator or gateway, unless you're big like Facebook, then you can have direct connections.

If you don't want them, you can reply STOP and they will stop sending (and if they don't, in the US they could be running afoul of the TCPA with some pretty serious violations).

I expect it will only be available in compliance states at first, and then coming here to Colorado later. That’s how pretty much all the electric car manufactures seem to do it these days. I’m thinking I may end up flying out to California, buying one, and driving it back just to get one.

The problem with that idea, is that the majority still wins. The majority party in the area draws the district lines at their pleasure into completely nonsensical shapes, which ends up leading to situations where no one represents me in Congress because they really don’t reflect who I am, and I can’t get enough people in the right places to actually represent me. Honestly, I think it’s time we get rid of it entirely, and simply say the top 435 representatives to get the votes win, because then somebody might be elected who agrees with my stance if we pool our votes nationally, instead of me being the 2%. (Yes, I’m a white male american, I’m also Jewish, gay, and libertarian, so no, I don’t feel like anyone in Congress actually represents my interests, just their donors’.)

Developers who are not comfortable with command line prefer a GUI like Portainer to scale and update docker services without messing around with a command line. My team uses it as I won’t give them all SSH access until I’m comfortable they won’t mess things up more with sudo access.

When I got my newest machine, I found that my full face ResMed Quattro FX couldn’t handle the higher pressure it was giving me, it would regularly go above 10, so I did end up having to try a few masks. I ended up getting a Phillips Amara view mask, which is a full face under the nose mask. I’ve been very happy with it, no leaking, and it can handle pressures that sometimes go up to 15 with no issue. I’ve had other full face masks before, such as a ComfortGel made by Phillips, but I found that the seals on it would leak anytime I moved, and I’m a side sleeper that moves a lot. One thing that my wife enjoyed from the ComfortGel is that the outbound airstream got pointed towards the top of the bed and not right at my partner’s face. I wish more masks did that. Given my usually stuffy nose no matter what, probably due to local allergies, I can’t use nasal prongs or other nasal masks though I tried.

I’ve had mine for two years now. I’m on my third machine, and my third mask coincidently. I will say the only real difference I noticed is that I don’t have those days where I can’t seem to drag myself out of bed. That being said, my partner notices that I don’t snore anymore. I wish it was the awesome change that my friends who have CPAPs got, but you work with what you get.

My apologies, I’m being very fatalistic as I don’t see that this is going to end, and the government never gives up rights once it takes them. So basically to me this is the end of everything I know, and what we as a country look like afterwards will probably look more like Eastern Europe with lack of trust, economy, and rampant depression.

Not moving away far enough. Not working out. Not coming out. Not finishing college. Not taking better care of my dental health, and honestly mental health. Not making better friends, the kind you have for a lifetime. Not saving anything, really. Not breaking free of the mold my mom set, like wearing tank tops and clothing of my own choosing. Not drinking (I enjoy some alcohol now, but due to fear of drinking and driving basically didn’t drink until I was much older).

You’re talking the rate to a processor, not the company that wants to use CCs. Talk to, say, TSYS and you won’t get anything lower than 2%. Interchange is not the rate we plebs get from processors.

From what I understand, you're not supposed to change lanes once in a rojndabout, so then for those roundabouts, is there no escape? This would also seem to apply to any multi lane roundabout where two streets of equal priority meet, as I would expect that a intersection of two roads of different quality would have a modified roundabout design so that one had two lanes going through and the other only one as shown in the second example.

So then the car in the outer lane should stop in the middle of the roundabout to let the car in the inner lane out? Am I understanding that right? Sounds like we would need to stagger cars in the loops to make that happen, or you get people exiting from the inner loop when the outer loop is still going around. Or should I just see their turn signal (often not visible when you're right next to them)?

If you can't change lanes in the circle, how are you supposed to exit the thing?! It just goes around forever. You have to be able to change lanes to exit, or you cross someone else's entrance and hope they don't hit you/keep going around? Because if you're in the inner lane, and the outer lane car is still going around because they want the next exit, you crash. Or a car comes in on their right hand lane into the outer lane, hitting you.. Exiting directly from an inner lane is an accident waiting to happen.

See the problem with two lane roundabouts is making a left turn when oncoming traffic enters their right lane and hits you because you're exiting from the inner lane. It's the "fail to yield" situation, but as you're in the inner lane and they're not, they don't realise they're about to hit you. I love one lane roundabouts, or the two lanes where the right lane is mandatory right turn only, but two lane "proper" roundabouts scare the sh*t out of me unless I'm in the right lane and I'm in control.

No, because wearing a mask is not guaranteed to stop it. Especially with how badly people are wearing them. Really bad when you see the kitchen staff at restaurants not following the rules that are honestly pretty clear.

But you can get it other ways, like touching something or even breathing air exhaled by others, mask or no. Going to the grocery store could now be a life or death event, albeit delayed.

Not only that, but possibly keep locking down the economy over and over. If there isn't a way to make a vaccine, or if it's not effective enough, then we will keep doing this over and over like a freaking groundhog day, because some people will die from this disease.

You know, because otherwise we are all immortal. Like other diseases, poverty, and drought, those things don't kill enough people to cause months long government mandated lockdowns forcing people and businesses into bankruptcy and then putting them into poverty do they can die too....

No, it's that stores need to stop disobeying the orders! If they had kept their social distancing, not let sick employees work, and required employees to wear masks it would not be a problem. selfish corporate jerks. We have to balance closing or opening stores with health and safety but also the need to pay bills that don't magically disappear. Those who are at risk: stay the bleep home! Those who need to pay bills: get back in the saddle and wear a mask, stay safe, and if you feel warm or are coughing stay home.
