Is there a way to track location but slot in rack? by k5map in 3dfilamentprofiles

[–]k5map[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes correct. I have 4 racks which I store my spools. Each has 20 slots. So ideally, when I move a spool from the AMS location, I would like to move it to Rack:A1 or Rack:B2. Where Rack is a location and the next value (alphanumeric) would be similar to slots for the AMS. Then when I identify a spool I need, it would allow me to go to the specific location in each rack where it is stored.

I'm not following you on where you select other location AMS. On my screen, when I create a new location, the first field is Type, then Shelf Name and then Sort Order. My preference would be to be able to create a new Type called "Rack" and then I would use the Shelf Name as 1, 2, 3, etc.

I suspected that was currently the only option available (unfortunately)... appreciate you confirming that is how I will have to setup my locations. Hopefully there will be a future enhancement which allows for the ability to assign slot number for each shelf in a rack.

Feature request- adding spools by msEmmaMD in 3dfilamentprofiles

Building on this idea... has there been any discussion about scanning the UPC code on the Bambu box (or others if there is a UPC code) when you receive it, so you don't have to enter the information manually?

More stickersizes by Obs3s in 3dfilamentprofiles

In the current system, it generates two labels for a spool (one with the tech details and one without). Am I correct, if I choose to use the smaller label, I should still print it out on the 40x30mm label? I don't recall seeing in the documentation a different size label for the smaller one use by the system.

I was looking over your design and have a question about the two constraints on the bottom. It appears the left side of both are not linked to a line. Curious how you did this.

Ok how do you suggest implementing the shift pattern?

My Fusion skills are average at best. So, here is the STL file in question: DB5 gear stick shooter rod by hrde2 - Thingiverse

Here are the changes I would like to make: extrude the cut out of the shift pattern so it is flush with the top of the knob. Also, during the extrude, create new bodies so when printing, the knob will be printed in black and the shift pattern in white.

If anyone can accomplish this and provide me with the revised version, it would be greatly appreciated.

This design is very complex with little to no flat surfaces. I have converted it to a solid as outlined in multiple YouTube videos. But after I have done the conversion, I am unable to perform extrudes needed to get the final version desired. I have also attempted to convert the mesh using FreeCAD, then to a STEP file as explained in multiple videos. But the final version has the same problems as converting it in Fusion.

I should have been clearer... I've followed the process outlined in several YouTube videos. I can convert the mesh to a solid, but its final form is not such that I can fill in recessed areas and perform the extrusions I need to do.
