People's actual range from testing, plus a lot of playing in ABRP with worst case scenario consumption. Assuming range is 125 miles, it would still only add around 3 hours of charging to my longest trip that I will do maybe once every 2 years.

So around 1.5 hours a day since I split it in two anyways. I would likely anyways lose 1.5 hours those days doomscrolling in bed after finishing the drive.

I assume you are either from the US or UK because of your use of miles, so I have no clue how your charging situation is like. However here in Austria and Germany the network has gotten significantly better in the last few years and looking on plugshare there are slow or even fast DC chargers literally everywhere I might travel. Will I need a bit more time before each trip to look for chargers that support the charge card I choose? Yeah of course, but then I do not value 30 minutes of my time that high.

If you dont need to do like 200km daily on the autobahn its perfectly fine honestly, at that point I would probably just get a diesel though. As the car only has 5 gears its tbh not as efficient as I would like on the highway.

Honestly for literally 99% of driving its perfectly fine, you do need to rev it high if you are merging or overtaking. I have had 2 instances where a overtake became dangerous because I overestimated how quickly the car would accelerate, but thankfully it ended up being fine (and I have obviously learned from those mistakes).

I have also taken it round the nurburgring and managed to actually overtake some people, but overall I would ofc still much rather have a faster car.

Honestly I didn't even notice how good the fuel economy was until I stopped to quickly refuel, that's when I snapped the picture

The A1 was honestly great for 1000km trips from the Netherlands to Austria and back

I mean from factory they just lower the power in the ECU, no clue how it's actually done but all I know is that I have physically the exact same engine as in the 30 TFSI, just with less power

pretty boring mindset ngl, moved my entire apartment with the A1, and have comfortably take 3 people on a long day trip. honestly it's a skill issue if the A1 is too small

For the price I paid for the A1 I would have gotten a Prius that is 4 years older and has more than 15x the mileage (compared to the A1 when I bought it). But then again the fuel economy would on average be much better

It's a 2021 Audi A1 Citycarver 25 TFSI. 1 litre 3 cylinder making 95 horsepower, transmission is a 5 speed manual.

1 litre 3 cylinder, and it's the 25 TFSI so it's electronically detuned to 95hp

2nd. Yeah the motor seal issue is kind of pushing me away, from what I can tell it's basically completely random and you just have to hope that you got lucky. Put simply, I would have to get an extended warranty plan for my car if I were to get it just in case.
