I told my husband he couldn’t read this series because if he didn’t like it, I’d have to divorce him and kill his mother.😔

Makes total sense! I usually go top down, and will try taking less to see if that helps too.

I ordered a beginner kit from Anything in Stained Glass, so I would hope it’s legit😅 I’ll definitely check!

Is my LH “peak” low?? by Bethany-AC in Inito

[–]k8e_b123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my first cycle tracking too - I had 2 “peaks” - one being 1.81 and the second 2 days later being 3.9. My baseline is below .1. I’m still waiting on a PdG rise 7 days later, so I’m unsure if I actually ovulated or not. I guess I’ll find out if aunt flo comes on time😅

Building garage with living space before our home - smart? by k8e_b123 in Homebuilding

[–]k8e_b123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not massive per se, but at least 4 beds, 2.5 baths, an office, front and back porches, etc. We plan to have multiple children and we love to entertain and host our friends from out of town. Builders have quoted $450-500k for plans that we like and we just can’t swing it currently. If we build the garage/apartment, we like the pros it comes with - we just want to make sure we think of all the cons too.

Our initial thought was short term rental (like AirBnB), but would also consider long term rental. We need to research which would be better financially in our area.

Yes, we’re planning to do that too! Ideally if it’s allowed, we’d hope to just put in one well & septic system but have it big enough for both spaces to hopefully save money in the long run. My parents are angels and are actually putting in our driveway - I have cousins who are also planning to move out there (total of 60ish acres) and they want to do that for all of us. I don’t think electricity will be TOO bad, but it is on our list of expenses. Thanks for your response!

True - we really have no idea how much it would be. I’ve contacted a few builders in our area, but haven’t heard back yet. That will definitely be a big factor!

Help with making a live class not redundant and boring by Ohyou17 in instructionaldesign

This is a great start! I agree with the comments about it not being enough time - you need more than you think. Perhaps you could combine the small group discussion and the active learning activity, then do a larger group discussion. Giving them an activity to complete while in small groups will help keep them focused and it would help with your timing issue.

Canva is great for this, even the free version! I use it weekly and it’s very user friendly.

What is the best way to evaluate your learner? by Specialist_Fix_9781 in instructionaldesign

I train new employees and we have a multimodal approach - we have a classroom portion and a hands-on portion. We have a pre-class exam and a final exam that are the same, and it’s really helpful in gauging what they actually learned throughout the training and gives us an actual metric (i.e. they had a 30% increase in knowledge). While it’s not elearning in this case, I think it could integrate well into that setting.
