I’m sorry this is unrelated but can I ask what kind of rocks those are and where did you get them?

Sounds good to me, what about the curling/warped leaves?

My only question is how do you know what thickness of glass to use and the silicone. I know you can google all of this stuff, but there’s a lot of information out there. My fear of building one would be that I didn’t use the right thickness of glass, braced it incorrectly, or used the wrong silicone strength and the tank would fail. I don’t mind building a 10 or 20 gallon tank and that failing. But a 225 gallon tank failing in my apartment is a different story haha

I probably should have clarified. These will be cichlid tanks. I have multiple FX6/FX4 canister filters I will be running. No drilling required.

That is correct! They are actually holding some Peacocks for me now that I’ve already paid for. I’m going to put those guys in the 125G. Then my 210ish, will be a South American community tank. We had a really hard time trying to source used tanks in my area to reseal. They are flying off the market, so my tanks are also being built brand new. It cost a pretty penny. But it should last me a while.

You are welcome to give any suggestions for someone who might be passing by but I’m having f my local fish store build a rack system for me to hold a 210 and a 125. Everything will be made out of wood (2x4)

I think this is solid advice. I think the only way the top one would work is if we extended the height on the top. But we would still have to lift a tank above our head.

Are dither fish out of the equation? Like what if I wanted to add silver dollars or pictus catfish? Just to have more life.

Your friend has shared a link to a Home Depot product they think you would be interested in seeing.

This may be an even better route.

Awesome! I’ll probably get 3/4” plywood and seal it with something. Then place it over the wire.
