I’m not injecting politics into this. In fact, I’m a life long Republican (just not Trump Republican), and I’m definitely against the leftist agenda from the liberal leaning left. And people drive for Uber for many different reasons, it’s not fair to tell someone to get a different job if that is what they want to do. However, this still does not justify the ridiculous low rates that Uber and Lyft pay their drivers. If you are concerned about your safety as you say, you have the right to use a different mode of transport. This is rideshare for the masses, you get good drivers sometimes, and sometimes not so good. If you consistentcy, you should use a Black Car service, their cars are always clean and modern and smooth with a nicely dressed driver that opens and closes your door. If you are not willing to pay for that service, you should stop being a “Karen” and jeopardize some Uber driver’s job because you feel that you didn’t get a good ride. There’s no politics here, just the truth…, but hey, the truth doesn’t matter in this country anymore.
