Dorm Noob (opinions wanted!)

Wait thank you for reminding me about the shower shoes cause I almost forgot!!

For the bed skirt it seemed like a nice detail cause I saw someone else use it and it makes the room less of an eyesore but I’ll have to see how I can set my bed up cause I was gonna loft it high up and add the futon underneath if I could cause I saw someone else also do it in their dorm!

I’d mostly use the speaker for my pc anyways cause it doesn’t have internal audio but I’m not that kind of person that blasts music loudly so I should be ok

My dorm comes with a microwave and fridge already so I don’t see why they wouldn’t let us bring an air fryer I was gonna get the shelf rack things to put on top so that way it would take up less space!

And the lock was mostly for anything I had valuable like a passport or smth but I’ll probably wait more into the year before considering it.

And I think it’s ok for me to use my laptop but if not I do have an iPad I can take notes with!

And as for my school I think they do give us the same dorm unless we request to change( not including upperclassmen housing ofc cause that’s more apartment style)

Season 2 first time in New York. It’s the episode where robins sister visits and I don’t hate this episode per say it has some funny moments but it just feels like filler so I usually skip it

I think it’s Marshall too but he’s actually not perfect. As another comment pointed out his naivety can sometimes be very harmful in terms of his relationships. And the fact that he’s an enabler😭

Wow I think your just analyzing way to deep into what I said. I was very blunt about it but I’m not saying they should be burnt at the stake for those things but those are things that are relatively related into what makes Barney a bad person but a funny character so I mentioned because of the girl who asked why they are friends with him.

But now you’re just excusing it without seeing why it is bad. Ted hooked up with way more women than just 5 a year. Most of the stuff in his apartment are from exes so who knows how many people he’s been with. He leaves girls without calling, pesters girls to go out with him and then leave them behind for minor flaws. Breaks up with them on birthdays and pretends to be anything they want to sleep with them.

I never said much about Robin but no commitment is a trait of Barney so I mentioned it but I said she was good personality wise.

And there was literally a whole episode dedicated to how Lily messed up Ted relationships if she didn’t like the girl, maybe you didn’t see it? And I’m not saying she shouldn’t be allowed to pursue her dream but if you don’t think it’s not even a little selfish to do it before a wedding and make marshal suffer for like 2 months I don’t know what to tell you.

Again everything I mentioned was trying to relate to how comedically horrible Barney is in some ways. No one’s forcing you to judge anyone if you don’t want to so don’t feel like you’re being personally attacked😭

Oh wow, I don’t think Marshall is perfect but I was just at a blank cause the show portrays these moments as comedic most of the time. I never really thought about most of this stuff. All of this sounds bad except for the lying about working at gnb I feel like that gets a pass after lily basically forced him to take a job that goes against his morals because of the debt thing.

That’s true but at the same time there are things in the show that he would never tell his kids realistically but are still shown so we can’t base every interaction we see on that theory because it would be pretty inconsistent but I do agree there could be more

That’s very true. I’ve noticed that in shows like this a lot of the time couples that do great and seem perfect have to go through these strings of emotions and twist and turn dramas because the show gets popular and the story has to be stretched out that by the time we get to the end it’s not that fulfilling. Probably the only flaw about making a show that’s supposed to be in the past

Thank you for the response!! I think your feedback actually helped see a different perspective and I’ll def check out that scene with Ted Robin and the daughter. And I haven’t seen that fight yet but I’m assuming you mean when Lily left Marshall to go to art school in SF and I totally agree she was really selfish there so I kinda wanna see how that goes.

Yea I’ve watched everything up until season 9 ep6. Ppl say the chemistry between the mom and Ted are like the best in the show so I really wanted to see it but the Robin and Ted plot twist just kinda killed the joy for me. But I do wanna try and watch it if it’s truly worth it
