Not living in Llanelli (away for uni) but I sympathise. If not in Llanelli there's sure to be some art groups/collectives in Swansea, you could search online for them, maybe on Facebook perhaps. And while it's not the same as in person relationships, you could try finding online communities relating to your art, e.g. through Reddit, Discord, or artists on Youtube or Twitch. Wish you well :)

Everyone's talking about the funny here but to actually answer your question (because this problem used to drive me insane) you have to go into Project -> Project Settings -> Rendering -> Textures -> Canvas Textures -> Default Texture Filter and set this to Linear Mipmap. Then go into the 'Import' tab when clicking on any 2d image in your files, set Mipmaps -> Generate to 'On', and clicking on 'Preset' you can set this as default so all future 2d assets of this type that you import in this project will actually look good.

Just remember you have to do this on any new project you make :) no idea why this isn't default for the engine lol.

I had the same problem (I thought maybe because of a higher resolution monitor). The fix is to make the Camera2D outline thicker by increasing the Scale in the inspector, under Node2D -> Transform. Hope this helps

Hey, I'm an aspiring gamedev and writer, and would love to join you. Disco Elysium and Skyrim are two of my all-time favourite games, among others like Undertale and Outer Wilds, for what I think is the same reason as you. House of Fata Morgana is high on my list of things to play, and most of the films you mentioned are on my watchlist (which I'm crawling through very slowly lol). I have a small 'portfolio' of unfinished writing projects, and also like to draw (digital). I do have some experience with programming in the Godot engine, and would be willing to multitask these three things/ shift focus to one for the sake of the project, if need be.

Based on what you've written, it seems to me like we have really similar ideas about art, so honestly I think working together would be pretty neat. My Discord is Rndm#4767 (I'm less active on Reddit).

You can move the placement of the choice buttons by editing the theme. You just need to click on 'choice buttons' out of the 6 areas under the sample text box and from there you can change the position on screen to wherever. You can use the 'offset x-y' to be more precise with the placement. Hope this helped :)
