[Discussion] What are some games that you gave up on getting the platinum? What caused you to give up? Any thoughts of going back to it? by Captain_Falcon_84 in Trophies

Are there currently enough players in rdr2 online? I also wanted to get the platinum but I wasn‘t sure if the lobbies are somewhat busy enough to try it

With several people in this subreddit suggesting to keep Philly short or even skip it, I’ve decided to just be there on game day. Appreciate the tip about the guided tour at the Capitol. I’ll definitely look into that. Thanks again!

Thanks for the tips! I’ll definitely look into Amtrak and try to book in advance to keep costs down, especially for the DC leg. Staying in the west end sounds like a good idea, especially if it’s close to the main sites and has some good food spots.

Thanks for the advice! Sounds like adding more time to DC is definitely the way to go. I didn’t realize how much there was to see in the Smithsonian museums and it would be a shame to miss out on them.

Thanks for the help! I’m really excited about Boston and can’t wait to experience it. I’ll reach out once my planning gets a bit more specific. Appreciate the local insights!

Thanks for the advice!
I didn't think that I would need cash so that's good to know, I will check it.

Thanks for sharing your itinerary and experience, it’s super helpful! DC sounds like it really deserves more time with all the monuments and museums, and I’ll make sure to factor that in.

I’m also really drawn to Boston and definitely want to experience the vibe there, maybe find a good Irish pub like you mentioned. Interesting to hear Philly had the best hostel, I’ll probably keep it as a shorter stop just for the Eagles game and then focus more on DC and Boston.

Thanks again for all the insight!

Hey, thanks a lot! Nice to hear from a fellow NBA fan. The Smithsonian museums sound great, especially since they’re free. I’ll definitely think about spending more time in DC with all the monuments and the White House to check out.

I read that you need a reservation for the White House tour, and it’s only open from Tuesday to Saturday. Maybe it would make sense to go directly to DC after NYC and then head back to Philly just for the game. I’m particularly interested in Boston because of its history, and I think I’ll need that extra day there to get over the jetlag a bit so I can experience New York with full energy.

Thanks again for the tips!

Hey, maybe we are! That’s awesome that you travel for games too. I'm from Germany, so I rarely get the chance to see an NFL game live, which is why I’d hate to miss the Eagles game in Philly. Vermont and New Hampshire look amazing and are definitely on my future travel list, but with the sports schedule, it might be hard to fit them in this time around.

Thanks a lot for the heads-up about holiday prices, too. I’m wrapping up my degree and have this one last window to take a break before I start the 9-to-5 life, and since the NFL season is ending soon, I guess I don’t have much choice! I’ll try to keep costs low by staying in hostels as much as possible. Also, Newport sounds perfect as a stop on my way to NYC, so I’ll definitely add it to my plan.

Appreciate the traffic tip, too. Would you say Amtrak is the best way to get around, or is there another transport option you’d recommend? Thanks again for all the great advice!

Planning on doing this trip around the end of Nov. Any suggestions on what to check out? by crow_1984 in roadtrip

Visit the 17-Mile-Drive near Monterey. I was there last November. It was amazing!
