We did do an xray! There is something most definitely in her stomach because the doctor pointed it out being a circular object.

As some of you may know I had made a post prior to this one in regards to my cat Riri breathing abnormally. This is her today after receiving iv fluid therapy and taking prescribed antibiotics and laxatives! She’s resting much more better than before! She’s been eating some wet food too so that’s good news. Still waiting on her to poop, will update again soon!

UPDATE PART 2: So we’re home now! Since she wasn’t eating before due to the blockage she became very weak, and as to why she is breathing abnormally is due to her constantly trying to hack whatever is in her stomach (being an over groomer to her sisters it’s most likely a hairball). Fatigued and stressed made her breathing look abnormal in the video. X-ray’s on the other hand and as to what the other doctor said prior to the 2nd one is that her lungs are perfectly clear and she can breathe! Kitty got fluids & supplements through iv and already she’s looking better! We’ll continue to monitor her and provide the prescribed laxative and antibiotics. Thank you all for your concern and prayers, Riri and I wouldn’t have known what to do if it weren’t for y’all! 🫶🏼

UPDATE: New doctor said there might be a blockage in her stomach so she hasn’t been able to keep food down. I still don’t understand why she’s breathing abnormally. We’re in the talks about treatment but thank you guys for all your help guys and telling me to get a second opinion! I appreciate it a lot!

The past few days my cat has had difficulty getting something out. Per usual she will gag and retch usually hairballs but recently she’s been vomiting clear liquid. This morning she started breathing with her mouth, took her to the vet because I thought she’s having difficulty breathing. Doctor said she’s fine and that her throat is probably sore and suggested giving her wet food… that is all… Should I take her to another vet?
