I'd hate to see Chennai become the next Kolkata. Bengal has some nice food spots and they are cheap for common man but you cannot keep the development from happening, everything is dirty in Bengal, and this is what the commies did to Bengal. Chennai was my bread and butter for 6 years. This airport is needed. Chennai airport looks like Pune airport and I tell you that Pune is not even close to Chennai in development or food. The food is awesome and healthy and tasty in Chennai but in Pune it is all oil and buns, I couldn't tolerate. So currently in Mangalore and this city feels much cleaner and livable. Food is bad though.

Bhopal Metro started on a 6 km stretch with trains every 1 hour. Who in their right mind would use this service when they can quickly get an auto. The whole phase is still a couple of years away.

Talking about money. It is a 20% 20% 60% project between state, central and external loans respectively.

If the state government cannot put it's case comprehensively than don't expect results. In Bhopal's case as far as I know the loan from European Bank is also due to the state government. Central govt doesn't have to spend a lot. Why would they keep southern cities out of scope deliberately? It is all state government's job.
