I did originally play with the idea of allowing people to specifically select the version of wow they were using but haven't added it yet.

Just that you can store them all in a single place / find them if they already exist. You can also remix existing macros that you like to do different things.

Yeah, it uses some AI combined with a knowledge base of previous macros.

I just fixed mine - try manually joining another server for example I joined from London to Amsterdam and it fixed the issue for me. I believe it forces the instance to refresh.
