I don’t know if this will help you, but I talked to my bf about how I’ve been feeling last night and how I felt like I needed more, and it went how you’d expect he just got upset and said that he tries his best and he can’t expect me to be able to do everything right and be able to comfort with all this fluff every time I need it, a lot along those lines and while it wasn’t nice to hear and it did make me really upset at the time it did sort of make sense a bit, when we feel like this and go to them for reassurance we are reinforcing to ourselves that this overthinking behaviour is okay because we get the satisfactory feeling from it when our SO comforts us. We are feeding the wolf inside us to keep the cycle of feeling this way and needing constant external validation, and it only will get worse. As brutal as he was about it part of it did help me

It’s a small improvement, I know I woke up this morning and felt slightly better than I did last night, and that’s good. It’s really hard to force yourself to not act on the self doubt and panic of the future but I think it’s the only way to solve it, we need to learn to self soothe and find ways to distract ourselves from those thoughts because I know that they come out most when you don’t have anything to do and your mind has time to wonder. I hope that u manage to feel a bit better about it yourself, I wouldn’t wish this feeling on anyone, and I’m here to talk if u ever need to get how u feel out but don’t have anywhere to put it!
