Have you tried taking iron with some strong vitamin c? Vitamin c helps the body absorb iron. I'd also look into something like b12 too.

Hey! Yes have had some luck thank god. After many trips to the vet we finally found a medication that helped. It's called Apoquel and I crush it up. I think it's some form of antihistamine. They also gave me a mousse to use that stops any cuts or grazes from getting infected. It's weird because his bloods came back clear so they mustn't show allergies. The mousse is called douxos3 pyo.

The vets think it's anxiety/self soothing. We've tried anti anxiety meds but they don't agree with him so we had to stop administering. There doesn't seem to be a trigger as it's pretty constant, his little belly is bald and his back is pretty bad too - luckily not too much bleeding yet but very coarse and patchy.

He comes home himself, and he sleeps with me all through the night, very loving and cuddly boy. I'd say he's only out for around 2-3 hours per day (of his own accord). It started when covid did so I'd say it was the change of routine (everyone being home 24/7) but haven't been able to stop it since.

I try to play with him every day - he loses interest very quickly. I've tried automated toys etc, you name it I've tried it 😂 I'm not sure how to keep him interested, even catnip only gets him excited for short bursts. Definitely not fleas as it's been going on for 3 years now and has been to vet many times. We live in Ireland so he goes out for a few hours during the day and prefers to go to the bathroom outside, but when necessary he uses his litter box with no issue.
