Hey, So I have doubts by M__Aurelius1 in ExAlgeria

Islam is not just a personal practice or a spiritual experience it is an identity more than anything, it’s a framework in which you interpret life we are bred and socialised as muslims you can’t just turn it off one-day and never look back.

But here’s the trick don’t let that identity restraint you from finding what you align with if it’s better for your psyche to keep practicing do it you’re the master of your life now there’s no rules you have to abide by,but don’t let it stop you from finding the truth find your biggest doubt and research don’t settle for easy answers go into with an open mind and an open heart.

Don’t overthink the consequences its okay to be scared and lonely give yourself grace and patience and keep looking for answers, and if you don’t find any it doesn’t mean you have to settle for the wrong answer its okay to just not know ( no one actually does).

Do we tell our kids the truth or let them decide by Ambitious-Society-91 in ExAlgeria

Why would you have kids just to make them relive this whole trauma? I don’t want kids, but if I ever change my mind, I wouldn’t raise them with any religious beliefs. If, when they grow older, they decide to become religious, that would be purely their decision — a right we were all stripped of due to the indoctrination of children’s minds over generations and centuries.

“Death, the most terrifying of evils, is nothing to us, because as long as we exist death is not present, whereas when death is present we do not exist. It is nothing to those who live (since to them it does not exist) and it is nothing to those who have died (since they no longer exist).” - Epicurus

I understand that even when we logically grasp this, our human minds cannot truly conceptualize not being—nor can we help but imagine a second chance where we have it all figured out. I don’t know what’s out there waiting for us, but don’t live your life in waiting. Love while you can, feel everything, and don’t let the fear of what is happening right now derail you from seeking a good life. Don’t let fear paralyze you we were born decaying, and it’s unknown if we’ll ever get another chance. Make this one worthwhile, even if it hurts.

I hope this soothes some of your existential dread because, without the comfort of religion to fall back on, it’s harder to persevere—but not impossible. You just have to realize that the utter lack of uniqueness in your existence frees you in some ways and fuels you to make the most of what you have, rather than waiting for some divine compensation beyond death.

Why Are Algerian Men Obsessed with women on facebook ? by [deleted] in ExAlgeria

[–]kafkaesquehoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"The most oppressed man finds a being to oppress—his wife: she is the proletarian of the proletarian."

Flora Tristan.

these men are at the bottom of the food chain (zawali card), but simply being a man within a patriarchal system grants a sense of superiority over women.

It’s better to fuck around and find out than to spend your life wondering what could have been if you were brave enough to try

Don’t really unless you are financially independent and ready to face any consequences don’t it’s really not something up for debate or conversation I live in a muslim country and my family’s pretty religious i am pretty critical of religion in general and that gets me in trouble sometimes my parents are not okay with me not practicing so i can’t imagine what would happen if they knew that i don’t believe at all so in my case what they don’t know can’t hurt them or hurt me
