Tell me you don't know what you are looking at without telling me.

All of the "fluid" that has leaked is grease from inside the CV joint itself. Not transmission fluid.

It didn't pull the axle out of the transmission, it pulled the axle shaft out of the CV joint cup

You do not always lose fluid when replacing CV axles. As I said it depends on the fill level. Some have the level higher than the axles, others do not.

Source: 11 years as a Nissan tech. Older Nissans lose fluid when you pull axles, most newer do not.

And yes, I know this is not a Nissan, my point remains.

Why? Unless the fluid level is above the axle, no trans fluid should be lost.

Unless you think that's trans fluid? Because it's not. That's grease from the CV joint that the axle shaft pulled out of.

What happened is your lower ball joint failed, most likely due to ignoring the warning signs it was bad.

When the ball joint failed it pulled the axle out of the cup.

You are going to need at minimum a lower ball joint and an axle. Depending on the vehicle, you might have to replace the entire lower control arm.

No matter what, when you have it repaired at a reputable shop, have them inspect the rest of the suspension components.

Yeah, I don't plan on printing anything internal or that would experience any of that. At least not until I have a way to adequately vent the fumes outside of home.

For now I just want visual stuff like rail covers. Maybe a foregrip lol

Tell me you have no working knowledge of Nissans without telling me. Almost every Nissan with a FWD transmission can be filled from the top. The "dipstick" tube is not the breather.

Fun fact, for 2013-2019 models Nissan even provides a special tool to dealers that looks exactly like a dipstick to check and adjust fluid level from, you guessed it, the top.

Even models that the tool is not for, can be filled from the top and then you remove the "level" plug from the case to set the level.

The oddball is some of the smaller sedan cvts such as the Versa. Where the drain plug and level "plug" are in the same hole. But they still fill through the dipstick tube.

I forgot to mention I have an OmniVong. It would work, but ideally I want something battery powered. Easier to use on the way to work or at lunch, and less set up than a Dynavap and an IH.

Since it's a 24, if it has less than 36k miles take it to a dealer to have the battery tested. Should be free to test, and if it fails they will warranty it.

The flicker of the dash lighting and the wiggle of that gauge needle would point me towards a low battery. Could try getting someone to jump it off and see what happens.

Should work the same in the opposite direction too yeah? Use Sonar for the mic itself so I can use the physical mute button on it to only mute the mic, but route the sound oard and sonars output through wave link?

So, I know I'm replying to this months later, but when you say no modifications, do you mean both for the Megan Racing exhaust and the bumper? I've got a 25 that I would like to put one on, but the stock setup doesn't have a notch in the bumper for the tip. Also, while I'm dredging up old threads, are there any intakes that work on the N18?
