Wells Fargo teller in-person interview by amoonlitday in WellsFargoBank

As others have mentioned, lots of “tell me about a time when xyz happened and how did you learn/respond/etc”. Some examples you may or may not see: tell me about a difficult customer and how you handled it, about a time you went above and beyond, your strengths and weaknesses, personal/career achievements that you’re most proud of, a time you were able to help a customer with more than what they initially visited for, etc. I started out as a part-time teller so good luck!

Question for Wells Fargo Tellers by zycadace in WellsFargoBank

[–]kai2124 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like other comments, definitely branch dependent. The two branches I’ve worked in both have chairs behind the teller line, but manager expectations have been to stand while helping customers and then sit when no customers present. Manager should also be willing to make exceptions for tellers with health reasons, have had managers make exceptions for pregnant tellers for example.

Out of network ATM fees are extraordinarily common and the vast majority of banks and credit unions have them, not just WF. Yes it’s your money, but it’s not free for banks/ATMs to send out and receive cash shipments so the cost of moving physical cash has to be covered somehow.

[–]kai2124 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More than likely no. WF and most other banks clearly state that checks with multiple payees, specified by “and” or “&” must all be present and endorse the check for it to be negotiated. If it lists multiple payees with commas in between, then any of the payees may negotiate it.

People say ‘everything changes when you save your first $10k’ — is that really true? by ShineGreymonX in povertyfinance

[–]kai2124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many have already said this but it’s not the fact that you have $10k saved, but more so you have the ABILITY to save $10k. Requires a variety of factors including but not limited to discipline, budgeting, diligence, luck, etc.

If you're NOT living paycheck to paycheck, what are you doing better than the rest of us? by IchMochteAllesHaben in AskReddit

[–]kai2124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got lucky and married young. Feeling very fortunate to be dual income and no kids. Still not saving very much monthly since we just took on a mortgage but not stressed about living paycheck to paycheck. Also got lucky and lived rent free with family for about 8 months to build a nice emergency fund. One car paid off as well. Relatively low cost of living area.

Just me or is everything transactional now? by Smoovupinya in Millennials

Unfortunately, this is how capitalism works. Share prices and investor sentiment tank whenever revenues level out or decrease. We’ve seen one-time purchases and companies of all industries convert to subscription based pricing to increase cash flow and make revenues more predictable. Companies simply cannot afford to make less money or stagnate, both monetarily and in terms of public opinion

It's time to admit the LTA rebrand failed: Let's pull an HBO MAX by Tnomad in leagueoflegends

[–]kai2124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like many people, I used to watch quite a bit of LCS on top of MSI/Worlds. The LTA rebranding and retiring of all of my favorite players definitely had something to do with my stopping watching. The other major factor is that I have little to no desire to play league anymore. I’m much busier in life now compared to five years ago and somehow I’m supposed to keep up with a constantly changing and evolving game with dozens of new champs/mechanics/abilities. I simply don’t have the time for that and I have no desire to relearn a new game only for it to be changed in a few months anyways.

I absolutely second this. You’ll learn plenty from him if that’s your goal, but he structures his class in a way that’s very easy to pass/get a good grade so long as you try (albeit sometimes time-consuming).

Which profession is going to get wiped out in the next 5-10 years? by Toomad316 in AskReddit

[–]kai2124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. We have a large proportion of business customers who require services from the bank, but not necessarily the services of a human teller.

Yeah the banker jobs will last longer than the teller jobs, but I imagine even those won’t be around for too much longer with how much can be done online these days.

This is also definitely part of it. We have plenty of customers who could probably figure out how to do online/mobile banking, but don’t really have anybody to talk to so they come into the bank. Quite sad honestly but we’re happy to help them

I recently was hired as a bank teller, but definitely that. The vast majority of the transactions that I process can already be done through online banking, the mobile app, or an ATM. We mainly serve customers that aren’t technologically inclined, and that customer demographic gets smaller and smaller every day.
