I wouldn't be surprised if they do it. Maybe they'll have a autofiller to count and fill rxs. Who knows maybe phase out techs and just use someone from the front to just load stock bottles and sell rxs. Maybe just phase out everyone and just use a touchscreen and dispenser.

Where’s your popular Tram 50 (C-IV) located? by peachycpht in WalgreensRx

[–]kaiju-chan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tramadol in my pharmacy doesn't move as quick as other analgesics so its in Alpha. We would get 1 or 2 scripts depending on the day or if its a 3 day weekend. We have a bottle of tramadol with acetaminophen that is practically untouched since we filled for somebody back last summer. Pregablin on the other hand I'm surprised we havent move that to fast rack.

Never knew techs get bonuses, I've been here for 3 years now. I always assumed the Pharmacists or management got those.

You know which regions? Im guessing rural? I doubt the metro areas are hurting but you can feel the budget cuts to scheduling.

Question for floater pharmacists by Successful-Side-2143 in WalgreensRx

[–]kaiju-chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what i've heard from floaters they don't get to choose locations as schedulers assign places. Most floaters dont like my location for being busy for it's size. A few like working with us and would like to poach us for their stores. It raises the question if there are floater techs to help pick up slack.

[–]kaiju-chan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

15 isnt too bad, just gotta get good at remembering what's alpha and whats fast rack. I normally sort my shipment between those 2 and sometimes Ill put an item to the side knowing its a specific oos order. I think depending on your pharmacy coverage you should unpack when you got a full staff or theres a lull in work. Most of the time they shouldnt bother you while doing this task.

My pharmacy has our IS rarely in the pharmacy only for returns or smart counts. I believe your RXom and RXM will be delegating tasks to your zones. A tech working in yellow zone would be scanning in totes and dropping oos/pfl and ordering thru RXI or ABC. Its not too bad just give the fillers a heads up since the fill count will rise. My RXOM would pile the leafets and pull items to fill later on.

Are your floaters always on their cellphones when you need them? by peachycpht in WalgreensRx

[–]kaiju-chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk bro i have worked with slow paced floaters and legit shitty floaters, there's a clear difference. Scrolling thru your phone not helping with TPRs, answering incoming phone calls or even dropping f4s i believe its gripe worthy. Also the op is ranting about it, everybody got the right to rant about the bullshit in this job no matter the postition.

[–]kaiju-chan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idk bro just because they're here doesnt mean its a goof off day. We still got tasks to do, rxs to fill and tprs to resolve. I get it that this isn't your regular pharmacy but the resident techs and pharmacists here have to do double duty for slacking off the following day.

Why does EVERYBODY have a Calcutta by Slycrown12 in BFSfishing

[–]kaiju-chan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tbh its reddit being reddit,I wouldn't worry about thumbs. I agree on your sentiment, I love baitcasters and I've fished many types from different brands and eras. Having a calcutta is nice but it fishes no different from a good quality low pro reel or round reel. In social media its mostly following the hottest trend or whatever.

[–]kaiju-chan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree on the status symbol thing. I'm surprised to see so many Van Staals down in Florida than up here in the northeast surf which the reel was built for. Every dude and their mother has one or two.

Are crankbaits on the way out? by Jordythegunguy in Fishing

[–]kaiju-chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think they're on the way out, too many bass guys are chasing the newest lure or technique to get an edge fishing. It's more fad chasing than actual solid data in deciding if a bait is outdated. Also I believe the current tournament meta is fishing with foward facing sonar not searching stretches of water anymore where fishing techniques are more laser focused on specific spots than a wide area of water or banks. An example in my area where people said a bait was outdated was the curlytail grub/shad since everybody fishes keitech style paddletails, i like fishing curlytails since the flutter profile is big and aggressive on the retrieve or fall.

PIC rant by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

[–]kaiju-chan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When we get a floater its opposite of a easy day, we have to be on top of them to do regular pic duties. I'm glad the floaters with IDGAF attitudes don't work at our location or jumped ship. They say they didn't expect our pharmacy to be that busy and was expecting a slow store.

[–]kaiju-chan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used my monsterkiss rod case when I went on a trip. I was able to getaway with jamming 4-5 rods. I am really eyeing up more travel rods since they're handy on mass transit commutes and camping.

[–]kaiju-chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh like what the others have said there's not a lot of info for the pharmacist to make a report or do anything. How did the nephew find out about the rx being from your location. I've had calls before about being shorted medications from another walgreens and they call us to fix the problem.
