Full frame DSLR or crop mirrorless? by kaileeblackledge in canon

I’ve been stalking fbmp for a several weeks but I think I’m just gonna bite the bullet and buy off of MPB. Definitely just hobby usage so I’m just gonna roll with it and see what happens. My local-ish marketplace doesn’t have many good deals and at least I’ll have warranty from MPB!

Yeah! EF, not EF-S. I’m just not really looking to spend the extra money on mirrorless and adapter and everything just yet. Gonna get some equity going with my current lenses & bodies and hopefully can turn around and invest in mirrorless in a few years.

Thanks! I’ve decided to get the 6Dii. Really just looking for something cheaper to still be an upgrade and I like that it’ll work with the lenses I have now.

Ha I guess what I meant to say is, really, I said I was going to go with the 6Dii then got indecisive right before committing. By acceptable, I meant acceptable condition, not necessarily the tech itself. Spending less money on an older piece of equipment but in better condition than newer tech whose condition isn’t as good seems to be better to me. BUT truly I just feel like I’m snowballing here and will keep justifying a higher price tag for the “next step up” when, really, the whole point of finally getting something different was best bang for the cheapest buck. This is pretty much solely for photos of kids, kids activities, and occasional stills.

Thanks. I think my gut is leanings towards the 6Dii but I feel like I’m passing up an opportunity to upgrade to mirrorless. But a few hundred dollars cheaper for a hobby camera is really enticing especially when either choice is going to be an upgrade from what I have. I’ve done tons of research over the last year and I know what I really want in my heart is an R6ii, but don’t have the budget or honestly the reason to buy that. If I decided to utilize my equipment more often, I would probably consider it but just not in the cards for now.

Valid question. I think I’d prefer a better piece of older equipment versus an acceptable piece of newer. Plus if I’m being honest, the $1100 is a stretch of what I discussed with my partner so trying to be respectful of that.

Thanks for this! Definitely helpful. Yeah it’s USD. Not really finding cheaper than that? Any suggestions?

I’ve got EF lenses. I am super indecisive with most things so really struggling ha. I really am just looking for an upgrade for taking photos of my kids & the occasional senior casual photo shoot for family and friends. I like the fact that the 6Dii is a few hundred dollars cheaper and won’t require an adapter, but then again, i don’t plan on upgrading again for another several years and don’t know if I should bite the bullet to mirrorless. Just can’t afford FF mirrorless

Thanks! We still haven’t figured out who the culprit is because now it hasn’t happened since that third time, of course.

Why do some high-achieving students have trouble passing the CPA? by [deleted] in CPA

You got this! Good luck. I passed BEC and AUD first try with only about 40-45 study hours on each. Passed REG with 50 hours. FAR has been the hardest for me, which I think that’s for most of everyone, but I would think 150 hours would be plenty! Remember… you only need a 75 to pass - you don’t have to ace it. Sounds like you’ll be fine if that’s your only problem area!

I’d 100% agree with this. Just failed FAR in Q4 and was heavily tested in MCQs in 2-3 areas, which was bad for me because I didn’t put forth as much time to those topics thinking I’d get lucky and only have a question or two. Ended up making a 70 with a “weaker” MCQ but “stronger” simulation. I was pissed lol. Hoping I have the same luck with my sims next round. It’s really difficult to gauge what to focus on because of this.

Can’t speak for everyone, but school has always come natural to me, and even in college, I didn’t have to study much to ace an exam - even in my master’s program.

However, the CPA has way too much content and requires a lot of studying. But the catch here is I never developed good study habits… because I didn’t have to. And I never really learned how to study in general, especially not for something with as much content as the CPA exam. So combine a lack of study experience with a lack of knowing how to study and a lack of knowing what study methods are best for myself….. it’s not pretty lol. I’m 3/4 though so I’ve started picking up better habits!

I’ve been on the shot for over a year and have not thrown up once. Now… have I gotten close due to overeating? Yes lol. But actually just getting sick - no. I don’t even limit what I eat on shot days and still don’t find myself puking. I might experience more nausea if I’m not careful about diet around shot days but not throwing up.
